Their "sandwiches" taste like cardboard. Sure their bread sucks, but I can get past that. It's the quality of their ingredients that I object to.

all of the meat tastes exactly the same (or lack of taste) so I go for low price black forest ham. To contradict myself, I sometimes get the tuna. Either way toppings are:

lettuce
tomato
onion (if not work lunch)
vinegar
salt, pepper, oregano
jalapenos
black olives
one stripe spicy mustard

I don't have a problem with subway. Sure, it's far from gourmet and a little overpriced for what you get...but it's not like I have any delusions when I walk into subway. I'm getting a basic sandwich made how I like. Not great, not awful.

I always stick with a BLT when I go to Subway. (Bacon warmed, add a touch of southwest mayo) Can't fuck it up, even shit quality bacon is tasty. Good stuff for $5.

Take my advice for your next unavoidable Subway retreat.

I agree that Subway falls at the very bottom of the nationwide-sub-chain-pecking order

that doesn't mean its subs are bad, though...just that they are inferior to all other available subs

Which wich? Every time I go there my sub is overflowing with ingredients, they're falling all over my beard and lap. They have about 4 dozen different toppings you can get.
