Just wanted to note tj warren shot 40% from 3s. I still never got the argument that he wouldn't be a good 3 pt shooter in the nba..

He focused on his body during the offseason after frosh season so pro scouts would take notice. His muscle memory went to shit when he gained 25 lbs. Shot was off soph year. Scored at ease from close in.

Now he's got his outside stroke conditioned to nba standards and he's still got his array of non conventional paul pierce type moves.

He turns 23 this year, kid still has 20 ppg potential. Though I think he tops out at like 16-17ppg

My god go back through this thread lol... page 29 i was the most positive person about him becoming a capable 3pt shooter and i was predicting 33-36% by the 3rd year. He's at 40% (on low attempts) by year 2...

Who would have guessed the greatest scorer we've seen in 20 years could develop a jump shot

I think it says Make America Great Again. Damn I was hoping he was a Gary Johnson supporter.

That is a cool pic though. Make Warren look like the BFG.

Nope. I listed the page incorrecrly, it's page 26, 27, and 32

Not surprisingly, I was correct.

Tj Warren was an extremely easy call for me. Just ridiculously underrated. I talked to a guy last year who played a decade in the nba and works in a front office about him and he said scouts didn't like his shooting motion.

Seemed preposterous to me. Guy is a workhorse. And he scores in far too many ways for me to think he wouldn't be able to learn how to shoot. He was like 50% from 3s his freshman year and people just ignore that

He's got a mysterious illness it doesn't sound good could be like cancer they haven't released any details and it's been a month

Rumored to have been suffering from vertigo when he left the team a month ago

At this point I'd guess his season is done unfortunately. Pretty worrrisome

TJ gone.. and fading.
Everything.
And all that could have been.

Please go pro.
Take this and run far away
Far as you can see
We are tainted
And happiness and winning
Were never meant for us
All these losses
Empty promises and left behinds
If only you could see
We are nothing.
You were everything.
Everything we had. "

Sigh. Three years later and still rings true. RIP Girlfriend

Well that's just not true. There were people saying he was the best player on our team when he was a freshman, despite him not playing nearly enough.

No I mean a great nba player. I think I had him pegged as a 16-18 ppg guy if you read the thread.

No one was expecting him to be Kawhi leonard or James Harden and Carry an nba team.

Hes just not that type of player, he's a scorer

LOL at people acting like TJ Warren is somehow a disappointment because he plays for the Suns and they're not a playoff team. I guess Anthony Davis and Jimmy Butler are shitty players too Seriously, sometimes people are just truly miserable on these boards.

TJ Warren is still only 23, and is becoming a very serviceable NBA starter. Best NBA player we've had from state since...well...Googs?

Powell's locker room DJ skillz earned him 2 rings, that is indeed impressive actually.

Hickson averaged a double double once. That's pretty fucking good. He wasn't making All-Star teams, but he was a starter/fringe starter for a decent number of years. Definitely a couple steps above Powell and other NBA journeymen.

Finished the season averaging 14.4 pts and 5 rebs on 50% shooting. Expecting 18/6 next season, and then all-NBA by year 5

people in my NBA circles are calling TJ a bust. I'm defending him because he's on a terrible team and needs to be the focal point of the offense.

we all agree he'd be a perfect fit on the Jazz. Rubio - Warren - Gobert would be a mean combination. immediate upgrade at SF from Ingles and Sefolosha

He's on a terrible team, but he doesn't need to be the focal point of the offense. I'd argue that he'd be best on a team where he is the 3-4th option. He is a master of quiet points.

TJ doesn't need to be the focal point of an offense.
