I have basic cable (from Comcast) that transmits both Russia Today and Al Jazeera, along with a Chinese channel or two, and I got to say that they do better job of brief world news coverage than any of the US channels. If you want "in depth analisys" from "famed experts" on the domestic issues and non-issues(basically lobbying from various groups) or latest wardrope malfunction recap, then sure, keep watching CNN, Fox, MSNBC, etc

This said, RT and Al Jazeera have some genuine shit themselves. RT is worse. Al Jazeera has programming that's like "oh, the internet, twitter, blah blah". Every station's gotta have the time filler programming. But true, they don't intentionally try to rot your brains by reporting on the latest celebrity nipple slip.

It's a decent source of news without all of the political slants and biases that other mainstream networks have ( no news source is completely without bias though)
