your traditional Survivor Series match:

Quote :
"Ten man elimination match (aka the traditional Survivor Series match) with The Shield & Real Americans (Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose & Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro) facing The Usos & Rhodes Brothers and a mystery partner."

earlier tonight, Big E Langston won the IC title from Curtis Axel. (a week after Axel beat Dolph Ziggler in a title defense, incase you need further status updates on the Ziggler burial)

Eh, I think the Big E/Axel vs. Axel/Ziggler juxtaposition is just one of those weird booking things they don't really think about, like the Real Americans beating the Rhodesesesssesesesses one night after losing to Santino and Khali.

Ziggler was in a way deeper hole two months ago than he is now. Axel is clownshoes now as far as booking goes.

-Survivor Series lineup Sunday. Don't think this show will do well.

Quote :
"Pre-show: Kofi Kingston vs. Miz (Miz turned heel on Raw Monday, leaving Kofi when he was his partner in a tag match)
Intercontinental Championship: Big E Langston (champ) vs. Curtis Axel
Survivor Series Elimination Match: Natalya/The Bella Twins/The Funkadactyls/Eva Marie/Jo-Jo (all the girls from Total Divas) vs. Tamina Snuka/A.J. Lee/Kaitlyn/Alicia Fox/Rosa Mendes/Aksana/Summer Rae
Survivor Series Elimination Match: Cody Rhodes & Goldust/The Usos/Rey Mysterio vs. The Shield/The Real Americans
C.M. Punk & Daniel Bryan vs. The Wyatt Family
World Heavyweight Championship: John Cena (champ) vs. Alberto Del Rio
WWE Championship: Randy Orton (champ) vs. Big Show"

SS matches:

Quote :
"USOS & CODY RHODES & GOLDUST & REY MYSTERIO VS. JACK SWAGGER & ANTONIO CESARO & THE SHIELD IN AN ELIMINATION MATCH

This was the Roman Reigns show, beginning the push to make him a lead babyface. It came down to Reigns against both Goldust and Mysterio and he speared goldust and pinned him. As Mysterio was going for a 619, Reigns got up and speared and pinned him as well. Very good match, no better than expected, but good chance this ends up as the best thing on the show.

a) Cody pinned Ambrose quickly with a schoolboy when Ambrose was yelling at the ref
b) Jimmy Uso pinned Swagger with a splash off the top
c) Cody pinned Cesaro with a sunset flip
d) Reigns pinned Jimmy Uso with a spear
e) Reigns pinned Cody with a spear
f) Rollins pinned Jey with the curb stomp
g) Mysterio pinned Rollins with a sunset flip
h) Reigns pinned Goldust with a spear
i) Reigns pinned Mysterio with a spear"

So yes, they're looking to make something out of Reigns, but heels win when they were in a 2-on-5 disadvantage.

Quote :
"A.J. LEE & TAMINA SNUKA & ROSA MENDES & KAITLYN & ALICIA FOX & SUMMER RAE & AKSANA VS. EVA MARIE & JO JO & BELLA TWINS & NATALYA & NAOMI & CAMERON IN AN ELIMINATION MATCH

Natalya won over A.J. when they were the last two with the sharpshooter. This was rushing through stuff like you woudln't believe. Naomi pinned Fox. Rosa Mendes pinned Cameron. Nikki pinned Mendes. Nikki pinned Summer Rae. Kaitlyn pinned Eva Marie who was given no time in."

let me guess, Cena Wins LOL

I'm hoping Big Show will join the Authority tonight just to make this shit interesting, cause fuck Orton as a corporate champion. Kane will probably screw him over though so they can have a monster feud, since that gets Vince's rocks off

I'd be interested to know the all-time record between Cena and del Rio. Counting house shows, they must've wrestled 100 times and del Rio's record would be something like 1-97-2, with the win by BS methods like countout or DQ.

LOL. I've not watched the PPV. But this is the first line to Dave Meltzer's review for the Orton-Big Show match.

Quote :
"This was one of the worst WWE main events in the last few years."

rest of it:

Quote :
"They were outside the ring when Show knocked Orton out. Show threw Orton in the ring. HHH, Stephanie and Kane all came out and Show was distracted so Orton hit the RKO. However Orton was still selling and couldn't get the pin. Orton then went for the punt, and actually missed it, but it was sold like he hit it and pinned him.

After the match Cena came in the ring. It looks like they are teasing a Cena vs. Orton match for next month or WrestleMania. I guess it'll be made clear tomorrow. Orton and Cena both have no opponent for next month."

Orton and Cena. A monumental feud from 2009 of the company's top two stars that by the end of the feud the fans were so dead and tired of it that if the two guys looked at one another afterward the fans booed.

Aside from the opener, the entire show was pretty terrible. Even the Punk/Bryan v. Wyatts match was mediocre.

Ugh.

Your opening of Raw, Orton comes out. Then Hunter and Stephanie come out. Orton accuses them of making him being champ about themselves and says no one can take away his championship from him. Then Cena's music hits. He has that stupid goofy grin before he talks. The douchebag. He's interrupted by Stephanie. Why are you here John? He says people are sick of the administrative bullshit. Cena says there's no one champion, there's two champions, and believes there should be only one champion. Cena makes a match offer to unify the titles. Orton cries about it. Hunter and Stephanie agree with Cena, and at the TLC PPV the WWE title and the World title will both hang above the ring in a match between Cena and Orton in a TLC match.

Hunter never used the word unify so it makes me think we'll see something like Cena getting the WWE title and Orton getting the World title, which is par for current WWE booking.

I think this is funny. But on this coming Thanksgiving Night episode of Impact, TNA will for their main event hold a 4-on-4 elimination tag team match between a team headed by Kurt Angle and a team headed by Bobby Roode.

A 4-on-4 elimination tag team match is of course a traditional Survivor Series match, and Survivor Series was for its first few years held on Thanksgiving Night.

The only noteworthy things out of Raw in addition to the Cena-Orton title vs. title match at TLC is from a 2-on-3 Punk & Bryan vs. Wyatts handicap match, Wyatts got DQ'd and then carried out a KO'd Daniel Bryan to I guess kidnap him, while Punk got jumped by the Shield.

caught the main event of raw and looks like another typical cena feud is dominating once again, whoopee, I'd be curious to see the ratings data between cena being out and him coming back

in case anyone cared about the ratings thing: best I could do was
10/14: 3992

10/21 week before cena's return: 3825

10/28 cena's return: 4145

last night: 3802

week before: 3768

so it seems besides there being a minor bump for cena's return (post ppv show as well), it def doesn't look like he affects the ratings much at all in general in recent time

(and man raw's ratings have gone way down since the attitude era)

To be fair, all TV ratings have gone way down since the Attitude Era. In 1999, ER was the highest rated show on TV and was doing 17.8. In 2012, it was Sunday Night Football at 7.9.

Sin Cara pinned Del Rio last night which is news in and of itself. But the man under the mask was Hunico. The real Sin Cara immediately after the match tweeted he was in Mexico.

WWE and Mistico are waiting for the contract to expire, for WWE to be rid of him and for Mistico to presumably go work for the new American promotion that AAA (one of the 2 main Mexican promotions) is starting on a brand new Spanish-language network started by I think Comcast where it'll be one of the cornerstone pieces of original programming.

WWE allegedly want to keep the character because the merchandise sells so well.

Also, I'm pretty sure he didn't do himself any favors backstage when he quit a match immediately after dislocating his finger. Considering some of the shit that guys have worked through (Cena's elbow, HHH's quad, Vader's eye), a finger is nothing.

Awesome crowd tonight. Pretty meh show overall.

I lol'd big time at Bret's reaction to announcing Cena/Rock as Match of the Year.

You've gotta give Cena credit. There's only one type of promo he does really well, and he pulled it out tonight.

That final segment was awesome; they mostly ignored TLC at the end, but the Orton/Punk/HHH/HBK/Bryan/Steph sequence was great.

Didn't see anything except for the overrun, but that part was pretty awesome. The problem is that knowing WWE that they won't go anywhere with any of that and it will go right back to the same old shit next week.

2015 WrestleMania will be in Santa Clara. The Hall of Fame and the post-Mania Raw will be in San Jose.

Quote :

TNA is offering all their guys a lot less money when their contract comes due. Until the Carters sell anyway, they're going to go toward the promotion breaking even in costs off the back of their TV contract. So a lot of their higher-paid guys either take less money to stay or they can leave and TNA will hire cheaper talent. Styles for now will be doing indies.

Orton won. No shenanigans with each man pulling down one belt. After a couple minutes Hunter, Stephanie, and Vince came to the ring. They congratulated Orton as he held up both belts. They went off the air with Cena looking frustrated and lost.

10 bucks says that's your WrestleMania main event.

It remains to be seen if we'll get one belt. I have to assume so, but you never know. Jericho/HHH carried around both belts for four months before the Undisputed belt was made.

well it's not really the WCW belt, this is a belt that got handed to Hunter by Bischoff

Be kind of dumb to design a brand new belt considering that WWE Championship belt is all of 10 months old after years of the spinner belt.

for the guy that talked about Styles:

Quote :
"Regarding a discussion on last night's Wrestling Observer Radio, we can confirm that AJ Styles and TNA are in negotiations for a new deal. There have been rumors over the last 48 hours that a deal has already been signed but we cannot confirm that. Batista at Mania it looks.

Quote :
"Former WWE World champion Batista is advertised for the 2/16/14 WWE event in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Thomas & Mack Center via both radio ads and internet advertising.

In speaking to WWE sources this evening, they confirmed he was expected back (one source believed at the Royal Rumble as a surprise) and that the advertising was released prematurely, spoiling a planned surprise.

Batista had been talking to Triple H about a return at least as far back as last Spring, according to sources, but his acting schedule (he has a big part in Marvel's Guardians of The Galaxy) prevented him from doing anything.

Batista has long talked of wanting to come back for one final WWE run, as opposed to just coming back to do one big match. He quit the company in 2010, completely unhappy with the PG type of programming the company was producing at the time.

One of the sources we spoke with tonight believed Batista would be working with the company until he was needed to do promotional work for "Guardians", which is slated for a 8/1/14 theatrical release."
