i can understand how ignorant folks can be duped into supporting someone like Trump or Sanders, but i just can't wrap my head around how anyone can actually support Hillary Clinton. mind-boggling.

Its saying that Hillary supporters are worse than ignorant, whatever that may be. Like really fucking ignorant I guess. Colossally fucking stupid?

And Bernie and Trump supports are just basic ignorant

That's just it. I don't think it's ignorance. Like I said, I don't know why they do support her.

Pointing out that someone is uninformed or uneducated is not dickish. These are matters of fact. I interpret your video to refer to matters of opinion.

Just because people don't want to scrap democracy in favor of a "robust system of private property rights" doesn't make them uninformed or uneducated. That just happens to be their opinion.

Democrats love to ignore these basic ideas of "innocent until proven guilty" and "due process" when they frame the issue as deceitfully as they do. The sit-ins from the left are just publicity stunts.

Given the turmoil right now between BLM and cops and whatnot, maybe not the best idea, but certainly not shocking. Hopefully at this point she'll call for unity.

maybe say something like this?:

We need to try, as best we can, to walk in one another’s shoes – to imagine what it would be like if people followed us around stores, or locked their car doors when we walked past. Or if every time our children went to play in the park, or went for a ride, or just to the store to buy iced tea and Skittles, we said a prayer –‘Please, God – please, God – don’t let anything happen to my baby.’

And let’s put ourselves in the shoes of police officers, kissing their kids and spouses goodbye every day and heading off to a dangerous job we need them to do. When gunfire broke out yesterday night, and everyone ran to safety, the police officers ran the other way – into the gunfire. That’s the kind of courage our police and first responders show every single day somewhere across America.

Why? No one disputes that police officers have dangerous jobs. That's not even a debate. 100% of Americans would agree with that second statement. Hell, statistically, poor minority laborers are much more likely to die on the job than a beat cop in the most violent neighborhoods in America.

100% of the people would not agree with the second part

what i posted is a quote from Clinton, and I think it was a good one (not perfect, still leans a little to far towards false equivalency). The problem a lot of people make when they call for unity is impying a false equivalency between the people in power and the people who are being oppressed. The people in power have a greater need and ability to make changes to fix the problem, it is not a responsibility shared equally and many calls for unity have this problem.

Her statement was more of a call for understanding, it acknowledges that you can both support the cops and understand that we have problems and they need to change. That kind of nuance is beyond most people who have become polarized by the debate, and i think her statement was a good one.

I've given a pretty pragmatic defense of Hillary ITT on several occasions. If she picks Tim Kaine for VP then I take it all back and her entire campaign can eat shit and die for all I care.

I wanted Xavier Becerra but that was always a pipe dream. The Kaine pick wouldn't make much sense to me. She doesn't need him to win VA and his policy positions aren't going to excite any downtrodden Bernie fans. However, from the start, she's said her top criteria for VP are someone she can work with for the next 8 years and also fit to serve as President in her administration. Both of those are highly personal determinations which really no one other than her should be making.

It was quite evident from the get go that the DNC had their thumb on th scale for Hillary. These emails just prove what everyone already suspected. It's one thing for a party to have a preferred candidate, it's another for them to be actively helping that candidate.

Check out the emails linked here, it's absolutely insane. DNC heads using "Bernie Bro", coordinating with HFA and CTR, talking about moles in the Sanders campaign, DWS making demands of Chuck Todd, etc.

^^,^ I think Bernie needs to keep agitating for DWS to step down as he was earlier in the year. She's garbage and taints everything she touches.

And now fucking Tim Kaine. Fuck. He's not the conservadem Satan I thought he was when I freaked out several posts up, his views are more nuanced than that, but he's still tilting in the wrong direction on banking and to some degree abortion. Fuck Hillary, it's like she's trying to make the race close?

I went to the mat earlier in this thread encouraging Bernie supporters to ultimately vote Hillary. At this point, I'm not even sure I'll be voting for her. I hope the progressive caucus rips her a new asshole.

If only the race were more competitive and conservatives could get their shit together enough so that Dems had to actually pursue its base. At this point, with the media's help, we are all so horrified by the prospect of a Trump presidency that Hillary can just kick back, bundle donations from bankers, and plot the next fucking war she's gonna get us in.

I really wonder how much coverage this is going to get on main stream media, it really paints MSNBC and CNN in unflattering light as well. It really does play right into Trump and Sanders talking about a rigged system.

It's been deafening silence thus far on cable news.

Surely Fox will pick it up, it crafts the "Lieberal Media" narrative perfectly. Once fox picks it up, the other channels will follow suit I would think, ratings! Plus Trump is gonna harp on this I imagine and the media can't help itself but cover everything that comes out of his mouth. It'll be in the cycle tomorrow morning and well into Sunday.
