I'm not even really a big fan of the original trilogy, I appreciate what they did, but I am by no means any kind of super fan, but I have to admit that trailer got me pretty excited.

As cool as this looks, I am betting that the cock tease that we see with the Falcon is about the only footage of it that we see in the entire film.

Chewie aged well, no gray hair.

Nerd alert, I looked it up: The average lifespan of a wookie is about 350 years.

Gotta admit, this trailer actually makes me want to see another Star Wars movie.

^^yeah, i saw someone on facebook commenting that chewie was only about 200 in the first movies, so he'd only be about 235 now, and 300 is middle-aged for a wookie, so he's got a while before he starts going gray.

The engine of the crashed ship that the Falcon flew into was an Executor class Super Star Destroyer, turned upside down. Those things are like 10 miles long

After watching this trailer, I had chills.

I told my wife "I will see this at IMAX, I don't care if I have to camp out"

She said "what about all the movies you promised to go see with me?"

I replied "this is different, I'm not inviting you to go, I want to enjoy this one!"

Hahahahaha hahahahaha Don't want to deal with 1000 questions of who is that and what's going on.

^ That's not bad actually.

As excited as people are getting over Han and Chewie, don't sleep on Mark Hamill just because the dude got fat and didn't have any major appearances after the trilogy. BUT, he did go on to do some amazing voice-over work, including a very highly acclaimed stint as the Joker.

It's gonna be a shitty 8 months, but I'm sure they'll keep reminding us amidst it. I really hope this one turns out well. His first Star Trek was good. Second was pretty meh.

"If you're watching the original trilogy first, then after the Empire is destroyed and everyone is celebrating, Luke looks over at his mentors, Ben Kenobi and Yoda, and suddenly they are joined by... some random creepy looking teenager who needs a haircut. Placing Hayden Christensen in the ending of Jedi, since he's not in ANY of the other films, turns an ending that should be celebratory into one that is confusing for the viewer."

I don't get this argument. Just watch the DAMN ORIGINAL RELEASE.

And then ^^ is all you need.

Can someone explaiN to me a reason (other than that 1 2 3 are bad and might turn you off) you wouldnt just watch 1 2 e 4 5 6 ? Is there plot value in the prequal? Because i always thought it was released the way it was just because 4 was the climax of the storyline and they had no idea how well star wars would do in advance.

I watch Topher Grace's edit of the first 3 episodes and thought it was pretty good. To introduce the wife to star wars we watched that and then the original 3

My fiancée never watched any. I asked someone about if I should start her on 1 or 4, and we thought 4. However, what non-fan even doesn't know the end of 5?

you know the sequels prequels have problems when people say you shouldnt watch all the movies in chronological order because there are spoilers in the movie from 1983 or something
