We still somehow maintain hope until the next matchday vs Inter at Wembley

Liverpool has gotten themselves into quite a spot here having to go to Paris in a must win situation assuming Napoli beats Red Star in their match.

We def shit the bed but I'm not sure that tracks. Assuming PSG and Napoli beat red star, Liverpool def need to win 1 of the 2 but it can be either depending on score. If we beat Napoli, a PSG tie would do it. If we beat Napoli by 2 or more PSG doesn't matter.

Beating PSG puts us through regardless.

We def need either a win or for red star to keep this form

So looking like the Manchester clubs will make it through. Liverpool have a good shot. Spurs will have to get used to playing on Thursdays again to where they don't win yet another trophy.

They should be ashamed of themselves for not winning the CL this season. Losers.

I was trying to watch that and the state game at the same time while setting up the house for a party so I didn't get to follow it closely.

Utter and complete domination from start to finish.

Torreira is the player Arsenal has needed for a decade.

There's reason to be optimistic as a Spurs fan. Entire first half of the season in turmoil with the new stadium, half the team injured at any given moment, playing a stacked away schedule, and we're 6 points off the top with half a season to play.

All signs are pointing to the United match to open the new stadium in the middle of Jan. Then we have a loaded home schedule in the second half and that stress of playing every match away from home for 18 months is finally over. It could be a huge opportunity if they continue to find their form.

Depending on what happens tomorrow with Barca potentially resting a majority of their team, we could be playing knockouts in there in the Spring too.

Don't you play pool, city and Chelsea away next half??

Also, I won't blow up Liverpool, but it seems like expecting City to not only drop 5 more points but to ALSO drop 5 more points THAN SPURS. Of the top 6 mathchups they have left, 4 are at home.

It's 6 points with 5 months left in the season. Collapses and comebacks happen all the time in sports. 3rd place is certainly not out of the title race right now.

Don't let this slip Liverpool.

Nobody said you're "out of the title race" don't Wazza me lol

I just said when you have the behemoth that is City, optimism might be a little irrational. Sure, shit happens. Maybe half their team gets hurt. Maybe the fire Pep and hire Mourinho.

You claimed you had reasons for optimism, I responded with reasons for pessimism. And thanks for Liverpool joke, I wasn't shitting on Spurs and I wasn't pumping up Liverpool. If city didn't exist and Spurs were only chasing Liverpool, I would be much more willing to grant you optimism.

Would absolute be hilarious despite having their best start and team in decades pool still loses the title to city. Always second best to Manchester, must be frustrating.

I don't change my team allegiance' like you do. Wouldn't be surprising to hear you became a pool fan after Klopp came. Then again he hasn't actually won a trophy yet so maybe should have picked city instead....

Young Boys leading Juve and Pogba misses a sitter but of course its Mourinho's fault Pogba can't score from 2 yards out and no defenders around him.

^Mourinho should have obviously played Phil Jones at striker, clinical from 20 yds out

^^most people that would be happy if City won the title are City fans. You would be happy if City won the title, therefore....

But anyway, hopefully United can keep up their recent form and finish ahead of arch rivals Everton. You can do it!
