If only that level of concern could have happened sooner, when cases were about to go down to 0

How long has China been lying about their number of cases? Looking at charts, it seems they are experiencing maybe 5 new cases a day, currently.

Wasn't the "CCP is distorting the numbers" thing moreso about the early days of the outbreak? What's the rationale for doubting the veracity of the currently reported numbers coming out of China??

they lied before, but now they're totally telling the truth

[Edited on April 5, 2020 at 7:04 PM. Reason : i think the rationale is the # of cases vs size of population, doesn't seem very likely]

Only if you completely ignore the context of their complete lockdown like none other. They literally locked people in their homes and had the military deliver food once per week. They had drones patrolling the street and ripped anyone who had a fever out and into a forced hospital. They setup checkpoints taking temperatures. This was from a training video of how they handled suspected cases..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsZSzava5Fk
You can confirm the degree of their lockdown with satellite data. This wasn't all theatre. Everything was indeed shutdown. No one else has done that.

Unless of course Chinese government also controls communist nitrogen dioxide or NASA data.

WTF?! This stuff seems hella-contagious. A non-symptomatic person infected 7 big cats that can all kill you. Cross-species.

Their seems to be some better news as growth rates have slowed a lot in some hot spots. But we need to see today and tomorrow’s reporting numbers before conclusively stating that given the sometimes wonky weekend updates.

You know what though? At the end of the day, the majority of Americans aren't going to know someone that passed away from it. We've all been affected financially and socially, but I bet the general public....those that don't follow politics and read articles like ^, are going to view our government's response as a positive, even though it has been a shitshow.

My money right now is on Trump getting re-elected, partially due to the governments perceived response. I know that's bonkers, but not a whole lot has bade since politically since 2016.

Another American Christian mullah passes away from COVID-19, who also happened to mock the hysteria surrounding the virus. He died doing what he loved best: preaching at Mardi gras, which is how he got it.

Besides his death, it is a good article laying bare the schism in the US... and the naivety and ignorance (I want to say stupidity, or actually, failure of its education system) of a big chunk of its population.

Extremist Christians spreading the virus just like extremist Muslims, Hindus, and Jews have done, literally thinking they are immune.

Their responses to the reporter (including a pastor) are just surreal!

They all look and talk like Trumpets. Religion is truly the opium of the masses.

Actually, about 19% of people tested (close to 2M people) have tested positive. Of the 19% testing positive, close to 3% have died from it.

Still pretty scary we've only tested 2M people so far. Didn't Pence/Trump say we'd have 8M+ tests like a month ago during one of those stupid pressers?

A lot of tests are there but aren't being carried out because they consume PPE. I know LA stopped testing asymptomatic people a few weeks ago because they were never going to catch up with contact tracing so it was a huge waste of PPE. The current protocol at some hospitals is self-isolation for 14 days on every patient that doesn't have symptoms severe enough to warrant hospitalization.

[Edited on April 6, 2020 at 6:48 PM. Reason : testing isn't worth using the last swabs gowns and masks ]

I was just pointing out that there are over 327k cases in the US, and the population is about 327 million, so therefore about 1 in 1000 people have or had it

I know that in PA, where I'm at, they tell people to stay at home for 4 to six days if they are experiencing the Symptoms

And the governor has ordered everybody to wear a mask that goes outside

So it appears the three largest metro areas in the country are at or past their respective peaks. Deaths in New York are going to be hard to take the next 3-7 days but the new cases have certainly stopped growing at the highest rate.

Unfortunately, the south (Georgia especially) is going to be baaaadddd the next few weeks.

Israeli Health Minister Who Termed Coronavirus "Divine Punishment Against Homsexuality" Gets Coronavirus

:slow clap:

This keeps happening to extremist idiotic mullahs of all religions! Already happened to some Muslim and Christian mullahs who mocked the disease or thought they were immune, in fact they died. Now it is the turn of this extremist Jewish ultra-Orthodox mullah, who also happens to be the Health Minister!

Who knew a virus would make so many religious people around the world of all religions, including religious leaders, completely lay bare their idiocy for all to see
