Im going to the newspaper recycling center in chapel hill today. My big ticket item: toilet paper is on sale. I bought a lot of dishwasher detergent last time.

Where are you located? The Food Lion near me (in Raleigh) does not double. I just checked yesterday.

^^I mentioned that to my mother, and she said that we can count on move-in weekend also doing triples - possibly up to a dollar.

Apparently, move-in weekend is a big deal for HT and so they go ahead and do tripling.

My bf has become open to the idea of using coupons <3
Thank god. For me, it's a game.

Kroger's doubling policy: manufacturer's up to $0.50

Here's a $2 coupon for Honey Bunches of Oats Just Bunches, which is on sale 2/$5 at Kroger til Saturday.

If they are tripling up to $1.00, thats HUGE. I'll be making the most of that. I find it hard to believe. Too many things would be free, without even being on sale.

Er, you're right. It's usually up to $1, which makes me

They have done it in the past. I don't know the frequency, but they do do that every so often.

What I haven't ever seen, though, is tripling $1 coupons

Clipped and ready to go.

Keep in mind that they only triple up to 20 coupons , so if you have more than that you'll need to divide up your purchases.

It's worth it if you eat a lot of packaged foods like Rice A Roni, cereal, yogurt, canned biscuits, etc. And if you can restrain yourself to not buy way too much stuff just because it's a good deal. I think it's a good idea to do it for a few months to build a good stockpile of canned goods and such, then stop for a while and use all that up, then do it again.

i love this place... it's so overwhelming at first, but it's a lot of really good information, it just takes a while to digest.

i suggest to start with the n00b forums haha that's where i first learned the strategy and then you can kinda go on your own, read the forums, and participate in the coupon trades and stuff. it's a lot of fun, and can get kind of addicting. once you get the hang of it, it doesn't take as much time out of your life as you think it would..

Well, I guess I just have a lot of good resources (ie, friends who like to save money) so we just fill each other in.

I LOVE to go buy stuff for myself but I hate to spend the money so I have joined numerous free sites...for example, freecycle yahoo group. I did this because people are always offering random free things on there and if I get something free, I can save money. It's also fun to just play on there.

Coupons still confuse the crap out of me sometimes but hotcoupon world is a great resource. According to Callie, the best deals are at CVS and RiteAid. You can sign up for the CVS bucks and when you buy things you need, they will give you money back. I am not a member yet but I plan on signing up soon.

These coupon people do all the work for you and post it on there and they do it for free.

I'm new to this, so please humor me.

For the HT triple deal, can you use those coupons that can be printed online?

Also, I was reading the thread on that HCW about HT's triple "master list" and kept seeing items that you could get for free with the right coupon. If I don't have that coupon, is it possible to find it online?

^^ some stores don't accept printed coupons. it would be best just to call the HT that you shop at and ask them. i think some places have had problems with people copying the coupon instead of printing it from the site, and because of that the store doesn't get the money back for the coupon.

it's possible to find the coupon you're looking for online. someone on HCW might be willing to trade coupons with you so you can get what you want.

http://www.thegrocerygame.com/index.cfm?function=onlinecoupons

try those.. print out whatever you think you might want/need then wait for the sale for it at whatever grocery stores you shop at.

It's a little late for this option but people sell coupons on ebay..they charge for the time and effort it took to clip them. It's usually pretty cheap to get the coupons you use. You can print some coupons online or you can go through the recycling bins to find sunday papers.

Harris Teeter DOES NOT double or triple internet printed coupons.

I'll be @ HT at 7 am tomorrow morning before work.

I am putting together coupon binders to sell at the flea market. I made one for myself that I have been using for over a year now. If anybody would be interested, PM me and I'll let you know all about it!

Well the main reason for the rack is that my fiance's sister likes to come over and rummage and take stuff

But she'd never put it back in the boxes so its just easier to have it all out than packed away in boxes.

Yeah, my storage space is getting a little crazy.

Is it just me, or is the airwick mini overpowering even on the lowest setting? Bought a bunch to use once the boyfriend and his cats move in but I think they'd scare small fuzzy animals away.

Yeah, first time I tried one I put it in the living room. Made the poof noise then a couple of us started coughing.

When I put the batteries back in it's going on top of the TV so it's not as close.

Best triples ever!

Got:

2 Windex Glass Cleaner
2 Windex Antibacterial Cleaner
2 Scrubbing Bubbles Cleaner
1 package Trident gum
1 Shout laundry cleaner
2 Uncle Ben's Long Grain
2 Balance bars
2 packages kotex lightdays pantiliners ($0.75 Kotex pantiliner coupon can be used on trial size. $1.29/box)
Skintimate shave gel
2 pack Gum toothbrush
Suave deodorant

My total was $2.14 in the negative after all my coupons so I grabbed an InTouch Weekly.

The HT on Western is out of Windex but getting a truck tomorrow.

Edwards mill still has some in stock.

I made 2 trips. ~$50 BC and ~$10 AC each time. Not as good, but I bought shit I needed too.

I use windex on everything...my car windows, my glasses etc

I use everything I buy.

It may take a while to use everything but at least i know I won't have to run out and buy a toothbrush or cleaning product in an emergency and pay full price.

If you live near Wilson

Farm Fresh is tripling coupons up to $1

Yes up to $1...so $1 coupons are worth $3!!!!!!!!!!

I went today cause I was in the area and most of the really great deals were wiped out. There is a limit of 25 coupons per transaction and a limit of 2 of the same item.

I believe I heard that it lasts until August 5th.

I had a BC total of $75 and an AC total of $20.

Farm Fresh is really nice, I'd never been in one before. It is comparable to Harris Teeter. Very clean and very courteous staff. There is a Harris Teeter like a mile down the road. This is the same Harris Teeter that had a weeklong triples event a few weeks ago so I think Farm Fresh is trying to compete.

Went to CVS today and spent 2.66 and got 2 packs of wellness patches(heated patches for sore muscles which cost 5.99 each normally), 2 boxes tampons, 3 packs glade scented oil refills, and a pack of jelly belly jelly beans.

I did a few other transactions and spent some of the gift card I got for transferring my perscription. I also have $6 in "extra care bucks" to spend on my next transaction.
Got 2 packs mascara, a candle, some other scented oil refills, 4 packs of razors, and 19 packs of jelly beans (prizes for my classroom) All total, I spent $15 out of the $25 gift card.

If you don't have a CVS Extra Care Bucks card, it pays to research it. Google CVS scenarios for examples.

In either last week's or this weeks coupon circular (I'm only just now clipping last week's ) is a kellog's insert with a $1 off two kellog's cereals (limited to corn pops, apple jacks, frosted flakes, frosted flakes gold, and fruit loops). There's also a $1 off two mini shredded wheats

Kroger has (off the top of my head...can't find it listed in the circular. In case this is only this store, it's the one at 70 and timber dr...~12 minutes from the campus area) corn pops, mini shredded wheat, frosted flakes [pretty sure of this one], and the vanilla mix cocoa puffs. So...if corn pops or mini shredded wheat are your thing, that's $1.50/box.

There's a $1 off two pop-tarts, and those are 3 for $5 this week.
