^ Yeah I read that they had a 9-0 homestand back in 2000 so this 7-0 homestand is just behind that. Pretty damn impressive streak offensively, but the pitching has been good other than Beachy's awful start. The SP shut down the Cards and the Rockies, both good hitting teams. does anyone know why Fox Sports South and regular Sports South always say I need a subscription on Directv? I have the largest channel package they offer and it says I have the channel when I check my account online, but it doesn't always show the braves games on either channel. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. gets really frustrating

MrLuvaLuva - I'm in Fayetteville too. Yeah it's no place to visit, but it is a place to work and make a living.

As for the Braves, this team is streaky as hell. Hope they are hot like this going into the playoffs. Gotta be impressive with how the team has cut down on the strikeouts lately. Also fuck me for not liking that Upton/Johnson for Prado/Delgado deal. Johnson has more than replaced Prado and Upton (even with the 3 month slump) is still putting together a solid season.

@ Jaybee & rflong - I was raised here and many of my family and friends are still here. Fayetteville is a fine place to live if you live in the middle class areas. Terry Sanford School district is where I grew up and I like it here. We don't have a ton of scenery around town, I agree.

As for the Braves...They just keep finding ways to win. They still have the best record in NL and MLB to play for...let's nope they keep the motivation.

^ There are some things I like about Fayetteville, but it's definitely got a lot of crime and bad areas. Plus lots of lazy assholes who just want a handout. The transient nature of the people due to the military base really impacts the community in my opinion.

Anyway go Braves, fuck the Natspos.

Also, local politicians know that half of the voters wont be there by the time the next election rolls around so they typically say fuck the military side of the city.

^ We are way off topic at this point, but screw it, the Braves have won 10 in a row so there is nothing to bitch about. It is crazy to see how quickly neighborhoods fall apart in Fayetteville. Literally brand new neighborhoods look like ass in a 5-10 years as no one gives a damn about the yard or doing any improvements to the home as they know they are moving anyway. It is crazy.

The Braves are just clicking on all cylinders. Awesome to see, but I still feel uneasy about this team come October. Watching the Dodgers-Cards game last night, I still don't think the Braves match up well against those teams (even with the recent sweep of the Cards). I guess that is just the pessimistic Braves/Wolfpack fan in me in expecting the worst at all times.
