I had some awesome fucking sushi at Waraji last night.

We had some fatty tuna nigiri, yellowfin nigiri, regular tuna nigiri, a shamu roll, spicy jerry roll, orange crush roll, eel nigiri, and some sort of shrimp tempura roll.

Apparently I've never had good sushi before because it's always been okay, but last night's feast was INCREDIBLE

Went to waraji last night, food was good as always. But the wait was ridiculous, we were there for over 2 hours, took an hour just to get our nigiri and another 20-30 after that for several tempura entrees and sukiyaki

We dont know yet. probably somewhere we have a coupon for. He and our friend will get bogo entrees and i will pig out on raw fishies. Looking at the sake house right now. I want to try kashin, though. Their prices are not great on normal food though, and no coupon.

Went to Sake House.

My rolls were great, the boys' food was meh. Service sucked balls. Waiter took 20 minutes to get our check to us after we asked for it. When we sat down we asked if we could use a coupon for the 2 entrees and still get the BOGO sushi. Dude said "of course!" When the bill came he said we couldn't, but that he could split the bill, so we said fine, so my sushi was on one ticket and would come up BOGO, and they could use the coupon on the other stuff. 20 minutes later brings us the bills, I got bogo, he did not use the coupon, fiance went to talk to him and he said he was wrong and we couldn't do it. We didn't argue too much, but damn, if he said yes he should have honored it. Come home and today I'm checking my bank account online and they charged my card for both checks. Checked fiance's card to see if they charged him, cuz if they didn't it would be no big deal. They had charged his, so we paid his bill twice. Called today to let them know and was told they would check it out, but they couldn't refund my money until "my friend" came and paid his part of the bill...


In short, service sucked, sushi was good. Would have gotten take out in the future, but now I just don't like them as a business.

^I agree. In Raleigh I adoredddd Sushi Nine.. the food and the service were always A+ for me.. great value, too. I also liked Tasu in Brier Creek, but Sushi Nine became my favorite.

I will have to try Sushi Nine, as I have yet to go. My favorite place has been Sushi Thai in Cary for YEARS. I have always argued that you get top notch sushi for the price.
