doeren is a much better recruiter than tob

you cant really tell by the stars because the recruiting sites had a lot of people bitch about their rankings a few years ago so now pretty much anyone who gets offered by more than 1 bcs school is a 3*

tob got a lot of those low end guys who would be what we think of as 2*s but because of the change in the system they were 3s

doeren seems to get more legitimate 3*s with multiple offers

now that might actually not be a great thing because you can unearth some awesome players that just weren't looked at very much but i've always felt like the legitimate 3*s are just good players that everyone knows are out there but if they were really good more schools would be going after them harder

I don't really know what tower is talking about (new rankin system...not familiar with it). But as a casual football recruiting follower it seems like the offer lists of some of the guys we're getting commits from are more impressive than they were under TOB. Maybe the players are still 3* recruits or whatever, but as someone who just kinda scans over a recruits list of offers, I've been kinda impressed for the most part.

Then again, maybe I just have selective memory about the recruits towards the end of the TOB era.

3 or 4 years ago rivals made like literally every recruit a 3* or better

a bunch of fanbases not unlike packpride with middle aged men who pay monthly for this shit liked that because it made their shitty recruits seem slightly less shitty

scout adopted the same type of system a year or two later because capitalism

scout also hired a ton of attractive female reporters to post on message boards for the same reason so let's not take them too seriously

Based on his work ethic...there's no doubt he's the most prepared player on any given team every week...i see that transitioning into a great coach.

He also went to Wisconsin and became a captain after being there a couple of weeks...all signs lead to head coaching potential
