I find that character a little annoying and contrived. He's not subtle in the least. I feel like one of his henchmen would have murdered him a long time ago.

Oh and Doyle is un-killable.

How long until Nucky's sends Harrow to kill him? Or maybe both Harrow and Slater since Rosetti is a pretty tough guy.

Does Harrow work for Nucky anymore? I imagine there's going to be a standoff between Slater and Rosetti at some point, though I'd like to be surprised.

^He officially doesn't but after their conversation last night it seems as if they have a mutual respect for each other. I could see Nucky making some kind of deal with Harrow -- maybe Nucky will see to it that Jimmy's son is cared for in a more suitable environment or something like that. Maybe Nucky will send Slater who will end up failing?

Slater and Harrow still need to settle the standoff the two of them had last year. either by working together or squaring off against each other. my guess is the former, with Nucky bringing in Harrow's skills against Rosetti. Rosetti is ruthless and unlike any other antagonist Nucky has dealt with. He will need more people like Slater and Harrow to bring him down.

I'm kind of glad that Nucky's slipping is not all because of that Billie chick. It wouldn't have seemed fitting with his character. Much more comfortable now that I know he's haunted by what he did to Jimmy.

Also...Harrow and Nucky scene was awesome. My two favorite characters on the show.

I'm also pretty sure that Doyle will be the only one left alive once this series comes to an end.

I agree with the comment that Gyp is an annoying and contrived character. The whole "finding an insult in a bouquet of roses" is really annoying. He just seems like a whiny second rate gangster with a violent streak that all the other legit gangsters are treating with kid gloves. Wah wah what about meeee?! I feel like Gyp is on Mickey Doyle's level but thinks he his way more important. There isn't much to like about his character even if you're the type to root for the villain.

I really liked the two Chalky White scenes with his daughter's boyfriend.

I am surprised how quickly Eli learned his place behind Mickey and Owen without being too much of a bitch about it. I guess he knows he won't be down for too long. I feel like Owen really looks up to Eli and respects him. He gave him his gun no questions asked and also took his advice about turning the convoy around without question. And even though Mickey didn't want to, he knew it was the right decision. I like the Mickey/Eli/Owen team.

Billie Kent is cute. Nothing more. But her pics above are gorgeous.

I never put two and two together about the kid running heroin, but it makes sense. I was wondering if Bugsy would ever be a character.

Richard Harrow is so badass. I really think he is one of my favorite character (along with Rothstein). Which means he'll probably be killed off by the end of the season. I, too, would like to see him and Owen team up, perhaps against Rosetti.

Harrow is probably one of the most universally liked character's on the show and a classic example of a tragic hero. He also seems to be one of the few decent/honest characters left. I think fans would be pretty pissed if they killed him off but it could happen. I'd like to see some of his backstory, maybe a few flashbacks of him before/during the war before he became so traumatized.

^Doesn't seem like it would be too difficult. You could easily make the face plate thing with some paper mache and some paints. Get a fake mustache, some glasses, and some old timey clothes and you're good.

yeah, the mustache and glasses i already have. one i wear all the time, the other in a case somewhere.

the old timey clothes will be the hardest part. that and the mask. i could probably get a phantom of the opera mask and paint that.

You could probably get by with a pair of brown corduroy/khaki trousers and a pair of suspenders. Check burlington coat factory, they usually have some old timey looking hats.

The previews from the week before were a bit misleading. I'm almost positive they showed Nucky, Owen and the kid in the cellar looking up at the blood dripping from the floorboards. Also I'm pretty positive they showed Eli walking down the street wearing a police uniform. And they showed Capone saying "hit me", as if he was talking to another man instead of his son. That one is very minor but still.

^I agree 100%. The preview for this past Sunday's episode was VERY misleading.

Is anyone else pissed off by this whole Tabor Heights gas station plot line??? How can they possibly get around this problem?

Gee, I know! Give every truck 1-2 spare gas tanks. Or buy a tanker truck and take it along with you.

Fucking retarded stupidity this season

1) How do you think the fuel gets to a gas station. Answer: tanker truck

2)Are you trying to say that late 1920s technology didn't have metal gas cans? I assure you they did

Gyp never ceases to amaze me. I know some don't like the guy but I love the guy. Also glad to see Rothstein in a large role. He was brilliant in real life and the consummate "gangster businessman" on the show.

Regarding Tabor Heights, did they not say they could bypass it but that the roads are awful, muddy and dangerous to traverse if they don't go through there? Anyway, that doesn't really bother me at all.. Not to mention the fact that all of these guys have massive egos and would never simply back down from territories that they feel are theirs.

[Edited on October 15, 2012 at 7:55 AM. Reason : Gyp. My stupid iPhone autos it to that for some reason]

Was that Benny Seigel that carried out the attempted Gyp hit?

I, too, like Rothstein's character.

STILL no Richard Harrow. Two episodes in a row without him.

I'm kinda over the whole Billie Kent story.

That being the case why hasn't Nucky's crew rolled up guns a blazing yet? Seems like a good way to stroke an ego...

Who is this? Is that the younger guy that Lucky had trying to smuggle heroin? I, too, wonder why he shot the paperboy.

I gotta say, I feel kinda bad for that singer/entertainer guy. Chalky is an intimidating guy. But then again I guess that's what Nucky wanted. If he wanted to actually hurt him he would have sent Owen.

Slow episode but next week looks to have some more action. I'm really over the women's clinic sideline/most anything with Margret.

Siegel's attack on Gyp and his crew was nuckin futs for a 17 y.o. (if my dates are right). I got the impression Rothestein ordered the hit since the news on the fatalities came from him, but maybe I mistook that.

Felt bad for the paper boy though

Of course Rothstein ordered the hit. He was sitting at the table when Gyp old the paper boy to deliver the paper to his room and it was one of Rothsteins guys that did it.

I mean I guess it could have been Lucky.

It was a proxy hit by Rothstien. He mentioned to Nucky he needs to keep his hands clean because his business relationship in NYC with the boss (Joe) that Gyp pays up to was already strained.

Rothstien > Lansky > Siegel

Obviously Rothstein would rather do business with Nucky. Gyp is an animal and can go off at any minute. It's just a matter of time before he turns on Rothstien like he did Nucky. He needs to be taken out.

(I didn't put it together who the guy named Joe was who Luciano was talking to about business/territory/Jews in the cafe and few episodes ago, but I'm assuming he is Gyp's boss.)

Also, did Rothstien refer to himself as a eunuch?

Me too. I was never really interested in it, the only interesting thing that I see coming from it would be the obvious attraction between Margaret and the doctor.

Definitely Rothstein who ordered the hit, the assassin works for him. Rosetti will probably think it was Nucky though.
