Weird bottom-up lighting inside cars driving at night so you can see the passengers.

Apparently Mexico is nothing but old churches and small towns with dirt roads.

The movie opens with a wide shot of the city with a weather forecast or news cast playing. The weather man always says the name of the city in some way like, "Stay cool San Diego, it's gonna be a scorcher today!" Sometimes it will cut to an alarm clock radio (with the main character waking up in bed) or the main character in his car listening to the forecast.

Hero is in the passenger seat of a car driven by the innocent friend or random person... hero looks into the mirrors...(zoom in on headlights in the rear view mirror)..."Looks like we've got company."

Close-up of a person's face as you hear them get shot... now zoom to their hand on their stomach as it slowly (+1 for the hand to be shaking) moves away to reveal blood.

In a time of crisis someone says "We do things my way" and the other party agrees without hearing what it is.

Main character's mentor drops the line "Trust no one!" Lo and behold the mentor is a bad guy, then says "I told you not to trust anyone!"

Tangent: America's Funniest Home Videos
The final three videos always have one with a baby doing something that babies commonly do all the time. They do the lip service to make people think that the audience actually gets a vote, then the baby video inevitably wins.

Edit: Sometimes I wonder if those $100,000 AFV shows comprised of all the winners turn out to be nothing but a bunch of videos of babies spilling food and falling over.

I've always wondered why it seems like dynamite is such an important part of the electronics on the bridge in Star Trek. Yes I know the ship is taking damage, but why are the controls on the bridge literally EXPLODING?

This isn't a cliché, but I wish that one of the new Batman movies would include a scene where Bruce Wayne said something really idiotic about business and running Wayne Enterprises and everyone in the room laughed at him.

Then he'd have to explain that he dropped out of college and never went to any sort of business school.

I usually say "GET SOME" whenever I go all in on a bet playing poker and I'm 95% sure I've got the best playable hand.

I wouldn't be surprised if this has been posted somewhere in here before, but:

When the good guys are hiding from the bad guys (or trying to infiltrate the BGs place) and the GGs make a little noise that catches the attention of one of the BGs and he checks it out and is just a couple of seconds form discovering them when some other BG comes by and tells him he is needed somewhere else or something which keeps him from discovering the GGs

Someone on the run jumps through a set of closing elevator doors and the hero gets there a second later just as the doors shut and punches/pounds on them.

In reality the doors have a motion detector and reopen if anything obstructs them while closing.

In 95% of sci-fi settings, their currency is called "Credits." This cliche annoys me not just in movies but games, tv, books, etc.

Don't know if this has been mentioned...but when the good guys are getting ready to do their "big plan" and they are all in the same room while the "boss" is going over all the logistics...

he reads it out like it was planned perfectly and everything is perfect....then there are never any questions, LET'S GO!

^^While he's telling them the plan it cuts to them "practicing" or whatever and there is some comedy relief when they mess up.

You are right...it is MOVE OUT..
i'm just thinking about if that happened in real life...there would be about 20 minutes of people asking questions, "hold up, say that again..."
and then another 1 hour of people complaining/debating it..."i think it would work better this way"...etc...

also, there has to be some type of "battle map" included... like..where in the world do they get this detailed map with all the props? haha

The guy walks into a place and immediatley gets noticed by the attractive/single girl that he was targeting in the first place...
1. attractive single girls are rarely by themselves in such establishments
2. she immediately just happens to notice our main character and talk with him

the scene in the laundromat in "the town" made me think of this...but it happens quite often

oh...also...
the fbi/police/whoever is taking "surveillance" pictures and it always "shows" the picture as they snap it...in black and white, or that greenish tint...and there is always the token picture of the suspect looking right toward the camera

Oh yeah, this is pretty absurd unless it is a chase scene in a tight urban area where you couldn't conceivably go over about 20mph

This isn't a cliche at all, just something that struck me as the laziest writing ever.
skip to 0:14:

While not at all a realistic response to being assualted, "it's a good thing you're paying me a lot of money" makes it very clear that she is working for the terrorist.

Any time there is a romantic subplot there is some kind of simple misunderstanding that could easily be explained but causes stupid crap to happen. Like in Shrek when he hears her talking about ogres and thinks she's talking about him. Shit bugs the hell out of me.

If the movie is FBI-based, the local police are bumbling idiots who mess things up.

If it is police-based, the FBI are infringing on the locals' turf and mess things up by only looking at the big picture.

Also, the police and state prosecutor NEVER agree.
