Finally got around to watching last week's episode (the funeral). I may be mistaken, but I think the person in the coffin was R. Lee Ermey. That'd be a hell of a cameo, and food for thought as to what House's adolescence might have been like. LOL. If you're not sure who he is, he was the drill instructor in Full Metal Jacket, and also the host of Mail Call on the History Channel.

I'm almost positive that this is not the first time we've met House's dad, and it definitely is R. Lee Ermey, he was in a much earlier season as well, or maybe just a photo, but I already knew that was him when I saw him in this season

^^Im still wondering when they are going to give them something to do...Chase and Cameron have one scene every episode, thats it. Its a joke they are even on the show still (and billed in the opening credits too).

Interesting. I've not seen every episode of House - my wife got me interested in it about a year ago and so I've been watching random episodes from past seasons. If you find out where he's been seen before, I'd like to catch that episode. This is, to me, an entirely new element in House's character which really sparks my interest.
