Make no mistake, Samuels and Bradbury were elite level talent with 3 stars because Doeren knew better than the recruiting agencies. Whose to say this class isn't full of that type of player?,

im unconvinced by the "less low end recruits" spin. for one, hard to know how true that is or if its recruiting site grade inflation (i recall 4* basketball recruits used to have a hard cutoff at the top 100, now fucking everyone with a major offer is a 4*)

and more importantly, im not sure if "mid to high" 3*s is actually a good thing. those are basically mid tier guys who are known and have been seen a lot. at least when youre dumpster diving you sometimes find gold.

Getting McLaughlin would be big but I think doable given the narrative Beck et al can tell about needing a new QB. Interesting to see how it would impact Finley Jr or if he's even got a crack at starting. I think given how our QB play was this year it's possible Ben starts but unlikely.

I'd say any 3* player our staff takes this early of a commit from, is probably a solid pick-up. I tend to worry more about the late-scramble 3* guys like we had in the last class.

Think Baldwin might end up a bit like Vann where he jumps from a 3* to 4* his final year. Supposedly our staff was really high on him.
