I stay away from the ones with a thorough KYC. The ones I have bought just ask you where you're from or to check a box that you're not from certain countries, then they put the tokens in your account.
They don't have the time or reason to verify every buyer, or they would have the thorough KYC. Theres a lot of risk in an ICO anyway so I'm not really seeing the risk of them finding me out high up on the list.
Just to be safe, I transfer the money to monero and then back to what I'm going to buy the token in to erase the paper trail. buying directly from coinbase seems like it could come back to haunt you.
I was going to buy some environ but then they had an elaborate kyc and wanted verification that you aren't acting as an individual so i stayed away from that. 1/21/2018 12:59:47 PM |

This is what normal looks like. eth, stellae, neo and nebulas have been up big this past week. new south korean rules seem to be an ok thing long term but have toned down excitement in the market.
wgr is lucky to be where it is after all of the bad news. ico are very risky and you should not be surprised when they fail. 1/30/2018 12:15:25 PM |

Stock market is getting shaky on interest rate rising rumors, I think as we get closer to the shoes dropping on Trump’s collusion people will hedge by pushing money into crypto, and if trump does actually renege on the Iran deal, this will add even more instability which usually causes crypto to rise
So I’m pretty confident a hold will work out
Of course this could be the bubble bursting which historically has been a slow fizzling out after a sharp rise for other bubbles... 2/2/2018 7:09:02 PM |

building my 2nd, bigger mining rig tonight. this will be my first complete build as the others were based on old computers. 1000w was the biggest psu i could find (all sold out everywhere) so that limits the size. I'm not willing to run dual PSU in the home where I sleep and limit my purchases to platinum rated trusted PSU. I don't want to wake up on fire. 2/2/2018 10:25:15 PM |

spent the whole day fumbling around with risers and couldn't get windows to recognize more than 4 graphics cards. Finally rage quit by selling two of my gpus on ebay. going to make a 100-300 dollar profit on each sell and put the money back into more next time i can buy for msrp.
if not, i'll wait until the gddr6 cards come out later in the year.

EVGA just released more for 899 but even that is ridiculous since the original msrp was 699. This frenzy has actually driven the price of ddr5 up which is part of the reason for the shortage and price hikes. ddr6 is sure to be gone for a long time as soon as it is released.

ethereum and ripple have lost more than bitcoin and litcoin in the last 7 days. i dont really understand how that is ok. reading your post i would think that those 2 have made up for the losses you had elsewhere
mayne you are saying you are ok because they are up from the price you bought in at. i still dont consider huge losses of huge gains as "ok" so could you clarify? 2/6/2018 6:09:46 PM |

when did you buy them? im looking at the charts and having trouble imagining that scenario because if you bought before eth and xrp went up then you bought befofe btc went up too.
it also depends on what you mean by "ok" because like i said, you could mean better than where you started. there just wasnt much information in either post. 2/7/2018 11:56:42 AM |

I've been loving LTC the past week. I bought in at 150, sold at 171, used that to buy in at 105, and just sold at 155. Looks like it's going into a tighter range this week, so I won't have as much luck, but damn, you can't beat a 70% gain in a week.
I did reasonably well on other coins over the past few days, probably up ~15-20%, but got backwards on trades last night, as stuff didn't fall as much as I expected. Hoping the Asian trading today gets me back in where I want to be. If not, then I'll still be up, just not as much as I was

Unless you believe in the fork, you should sell right before the fork. People are piling on right now to get in on litecoin cash. I'm expecting a selloff right after the fork. Do your own research I'm not offering professional advice. 2/14/2018 7:28:21 PM |

doesn't it not have any connection to litecoin, ie it's not a real fork?

no real connection but the connection I made is that a lot of people put all of their assets into litecoin to maximize on litecoin cash (free money, right?), and once they have it in their wallet, they will sell a lot of litecoin to go back.
Problem is, a lot of people are claiming there was no wallet available and they can't get their litecoin cash. Its a mess out there right now but litecoin is doing fine so far. Going to be interesting to see what happens with the prices of each once the dust settles. A lot of people are going to leave their ltc in the wallet until they have their hands on he actual cash coins. 2/18/2018 10:44:29 PM |

Why would anyone get free litecoin cash if it's not a fork? 2/19/2018 6:10:23 AM |
tulsigabbard Suspended 2953 Posts user info edit post |
Its basically just a copy paste of the ltc blockchain. If you owned LTC at the magic block number, you are entitlted to 10x that number of LCC. You have to download the key and upload into the LCC wallet, proving you owned x LTC at block 1371111.
Problem is, the LCC wallet doesn't exist yet and people are losing their shit.

Even if you don't believe in the fork, ETH and LTC have yet to show that their value isn't going to follow BTC's macro trend. LTC is still far below it's value from before this correction, so regardless of the fork, if you believe in block chain regaining any losses it's had over the past couple months, I don't see any reason to get rid of LTC.2/20/2018 1:59:50 PM |
