you're talking about here, right? http://fivethirtyeight.com/live-blog/2016-election-results-coverage/

That graphic on the right shows 38% too, and I don't see any posts saying otherwise.

^^^ take a plain look at the numbers, this is devastating for Hillary and democrats.

Last time GOP had control of president and congress, without the popular vote for president (which looks likely) we got the Iraq war.

This is literally the worst case scenario.

^^^ looks like nyt is leaning heavily on historical vote by district, 538 isn't considering that. Nyt is using a very granular model.

Trump right now is only losing Wayne County, Michigan (where Detroit is) 51-43. Obama won this county 73-26 over Romney.

Still more votes to come, but Democrats taking organized labor for granted might've finally bit them in the ass.

This is fucking insanity. I was watching Fox to enjoy the denial and now Trump has a real serious chance at winning.

So I assume that this is the end of Nate Silver being treated like some kind of God, right? You shouldn't be allowed to be this wrong and still be viewed as the best in class.

Silver screwed up Trump winning the Republican primary. He screwed up Trump winning the presidential race. The name of his site is 538, it's entirely based on presidential race prognostication.

If anything I see this giving 538 more credibility. People were shitting all over them for giving Trump as high of a probability as they did. Most every other outlet was giving Clinton a 90%+ chance of winning.

North Carolina just called for Trump.

Also, over half the states in the country will have legalized marijuana either medically or flat out as of this election.

The amazing thing to me is the large "Never Trump" vote that Johnson is getting a lot of. Maybe Johnson is getting some Bernie voters, but he's probably taking more from Trump than Hillary. (i.e. Trump's margin could be bigger)

considering that most polls were showing a swing towards Hillary in the last week, the polls had to be in complete error earlier. This looks like America's version of the Brexit with respect to erroneous polls.

It's going to be interesting watching what happens in the stock market tomorrow, regardless of who wins.
