Interim the rest of the season. Poch gets fired/leaves PSG, they get Zidane, United get Poch?

Or they could just hire Rodgers and hopefully have hilarity ensue.

Bad luck indeed, outplayed United the whole match. CHO missed two goals and Timo is still being deployed incorrectly but still missed badly on two chances. RLC is too fucking timid always looking to pass he had a clear shooting lane at top of box and passed.

I worry about the glut of fixtures in December luckily only one against a top 4 contender (West Ham). With Club World Cup plus the final match day in CL Chelsea could be in for a bad run of form, time will tell.

Chelsea will lose Mendy and Ziyech

Kepa has played better under Teuchel but the return match against City and home against Spurs will not be key with your Number 2. And that doesn't take into account if they will leave early with a home match against Liverpool on the 2nd.

This goes to the problem with MVP awards in any sport now.

Its all about who has best endorsement deals and appears on their TV screen. Someone asked on ESPN's twitter feed explain this in NFL terms and I said it would be like if Peyton Manning won MVP in his last season with Broncos.

Plus South American Press would never vote for Lewandoski who most assuredly deserved it.

(that was def not a group of death but) first English team to ever win all group games, apparently. Even though we played youngsters.

^you still started Salah, Mane, and Alisson. But fair play you handled your business and didn't get any injuries. On paper this group looked tough but Liverpool proved that they are really dominant and will be one of the favorites to lift trophy at end of May.

Spurs with a COVID outbreak and its interesting to see how the press over there has handled it. Because in the US it would be like why weren't these people vaccinated. 10 Days of isolation for at least 8 senior players and its not known which players are affected. Their match Sunday is probably in doubt now.

Their game with Rennes (Rennes was not happy as they had already traveled) was called off, Brighton game is still on as of now

As for yesterday Chelsea have some very real injury concerns in midfield and if they don't find some answers they could find themselves out of the title race. Saul looks like a complete bust (thank goodness he is only here on loan). Kante and Jorginho are nursing injuries, Kovacic trained Monday and then tested positive which will push his injury recovery 10 days longer. Thankfully they should be favored in every match through December. The good news is Timo and Lukaku looked good.

So City, Chelsea, Pool, and United all won this weekend thanks to penalties. In the Chelsea match there were 3 spot kicks and all 3 were pretty soft penalties, actually all of the penalties I saw were pretty controversial. Chelsea had to win to keep it within a game of first place.

Chelsea's defense has been rough with Jorginho apparently nursing a back injury, and Kante and Kovacic already out injured. RLC can't do what Kante does and Jorgi's replacement is already injured.

Champions League draw is being redone because a computer somehow screwed up ManU's placement, rumors are that Villareal and Atleti complained. Chelsea of course will now draw Bayern Munich after escaping and getting Lille in first draw.

It’s not that Villarreal complained. The fact that Vil was playing a group stage opponent isn’t allowed was the problem

Dude could score from almost any angle. Just ask Pepe Reina or David de Gea. His goal scoring record would be much better were it not for a string of long-term injuries at the peak of his career.

"The best team in Premier League history -- 100-point Manchester City -- finished the 17-18 season with a per-game xG differential of plus-1.67, per @fbref.

This season's Liverpool: plus-1.67
This season's City: plus-1.74

We might get an even better title race than 18-19. "

Gotta feeling European Football is about to be paused. Despite the fact that Omicron while it spreads very similar to common cold, symptoms seem to be mild to asymptomatic and vaccinations seem to offer some protection despite symptoms or positive tests.

The fucking stream at London Bridge was like 15 god damn minutes behind by the end of the game, spent the entire second half buffering every 10 seconds or so. Absolutely terrible. Will go back for any "on TV" games, never again for a Peacock/Paramount streaming game.

I don't understand the NBC agreement. Why the fuck wasn't Liverpool/Spurs on TV. It was the only 11:30 game. Why would NBC Sports rather show women's EPL or whatever it's called?
