Rivers' playoff performance with a torn ACL is akin to Jake Taylor's heroic bunt in the ALCS

I don't care about baseball.

And I wasn't comparing him to Brady Anderson...was just throwing out another guy who jacked up a lot of homers and was then forgotten.

I'm not even going to comment on all this "leave the Chargers" mess and how it relates to Eli's career decisions.

Whatever, I had no idea what it was and just glanced at espn.com. I saw pebble beach first but I guess it was talking about Phil's victory last week.

Damn, thought i'd be able to see Chargers v Panthers in Charlotte this year since they were in San Diego in 2008. Looks like through some quirk in scheduling they are playing in San Diego again this year.

"Former N.C. State University quarterback Philip Rivers has endorsed Rick Santorum in the GOP presidential primary.
Rivers, a four-time Pro Bowl pick with the San Diego Chargers, is an Alabama native who made his endorsement before Alabama voters go to the polls next Tuesday.
“I am supporting Rick Santorum for president because of his stance on issues that attack vital Christian values our country was founded upon: no abortion, upholding traditional marriage, defending religious freedom, no euthanasia,” Rivers said in a statement.

it is possible to be a christian, even a conservative christian, without being a loony extremist, or supporting one. but this isn't the thread to discuss that, so that's all i'll say

^ What does that even mean? Every Christian is a loony extremist? What world/country do you live in? What do you consider Muslims? Its insane the close minded hatred for Christians that liberal spout and then come right back and accuse Christians of the same thing. Pot-kettle.

Saw this quote from Chris Rock:
Quote :
"The question isn't is Sanchez a championship quarterback . The question is can he consistently give the team a chance to win like a steve McNair or Phillip rivers . Lets get used to being in the playoffs then think championship
