Liverpool had their chances in the 1st half, but hats off to Leicester they defended well but this pretty much ensures another City title. 6 points clear going to have to hope Chelsea and Liverpool take 3 points each off City to have a chance.

Doesn't get easier for Liverpool though traveling to Stamford Bridge Sunday.

The Lukaku interview was suboptimal. Reading Chelsea message boards they want him sold ASAP. Of course that is not going to happen. I however would not be surprised if he is not even in squad against Liverpool. This of course will help Liverpool but with the injuries to our defense don't think this will be an issue.

City showed their class they looked out of sorts at St Mary's but managed to secure a point.

VAR continues to be a joke and anything slowed down a case can be made to change your mind. I honestly thought Doherty was going to be sent off against Chelsea because the tackle looked bad in slow motion.

Jota and the GK that is never a penalty and the ref got it right on field but VAR had to get involved. I still think Liverpool wins but that was cheap penalty.

Unfortunately its never going away and the big clubs have learned how to take advantage of it.

So Egypt and Senegal are still alive but the final is 2/6, so even if they make it there it's unlikely Mane or Salah will miss anymore games that matter. We play Cardiff in the the FA cup on 2/6 but maybe they wouldnt have played that game anyway? Then LC on 2/10, so the question will be if they are well rested enough.

All in all, barring injuries, Liverpool can't use afcon as an excuse. They won every game they needed to w/out salah and Mane.

Maybe we can blame afcon for Chelsea failing to take pts off city??

Chelsea needed cover at LB and brought Kenedy back early from loan. Board is pretty much telling their supporters we aren't supporting Tuchel unless he makes it through season into a Champions League spot and wins at least 1 more trophy.

Everton were busy the last few days. Brought Lampard in as manager, got Dele Alli from Spurs to try and resurrect his career, got van de Beek from United on loan and El Ghazi on loan.

Newcastle brought in some talent (Guimares, Burn, Targett, Wood, Trippier) as well, will it be enough to get them to safety
