Bethune-Cookman 353 in KenPom, 319 NET. No reason to ever schedule teams that could be 200+ and we will end with possibly 5.

I'm not always a fan of Boozie's hyperbole, but he isn't wrong. Filling our schedule with a bunch of shit basically means a middling team like ours has no chance of coming out of a bubble situation which is already optimistic.

C'mon dudes, obviously noone is saying that we play only top 25 OOC. There is a giant fuckin difference between filling out a decent non-con schedule with 300+ ranked teams and sub 200 teams. It makes a big difference in the NET, Kenpom, RPI, etc.

What's the problem with calling it out now, rather than on the off chance a miracle happens and we are on the outside of the bubble looking in because our SOS is awful? It's not like Bethune Cookman and Central Connecticut being 300+ are some sort of weird unforeseen surprise either.

This was already covered in the first page of this thread. 6/10 games the school had a say in scheduling were top 100 teams last year (Nebraska wasn't but we also had no choice in playing them.)

This schedule is fine. Bitching about the schedule tells me either you're a horrible troll or you have a weird axe to grind with Keatts.

My guess is that how we've barely won every game plays into that. Also, early season NET isn't exactly accurate, remember that time we were ranked insanely high at roughly this point in the season?

Also, the tournament selection committee is going to put whoever they want in the tournament no matter what their NET ranking is, they've proven this over and over since it came into existence. They'll use it as a reason to include one team and then completely ignore it and invite a team that isn't even close NET-wise

I think Duke was NET 49 a week or so ago which was like 8th in the ACC. NET is the best!

yeah, we finished that year ranked 33rd and then got left out of the tournament because our RPI wouldve been like 90 and the committee basically judged people by rpi metrics without using the rpi

Seems like they use NET to rank/sort your opponents (good wins vs bad losses vs quality losses etc) without actually taking into account what your specific NET rank is.

No they didn't. I told you all on page one it was a shit schedule and teams like Wright State would not be top 100. Last year was a fluke year with COVID. You guys will argue anything. We literally have played one of the worst schedules in DI.

I know it’s the Big 10 network and Purdue is really good but man these announcers are really just drooling over Purdue.

Also, Purdue obviously has a giant height advantage. But we cant get a foul call at all when we take the ball inside.

We cannot buy a foul at all. Refs mostly letting them play on both ends, which works to our benefit since we’re so thin up front. But it’d be nice to get to the line on a few of these empty drives to the basket
