I read in Entertainment Weekly that they are all set for a Season 10. In fact, one of the producers said they are willing to fight to make that happen.

As for the season opener, my thoughts were that Tess released Zod and his minions thinking he was the savior she had heard about. She did this using that crystal she found last season. Tess didn't realize it was Clark, not Zod, who will save Earth. Zod is just using her for the moment.

^ Terence Stamp has been the voice of Jor El forever on the show. I thought everyone who watched it knew that. Also Annette O'Toole, the actress that played Martha Kent on Smallville, played Lana Lang in Superman III. I always thought it was funny that the casting crew for Smallville didn't know that when she auditioned.

Haha so I know that every single person on the show doesn't have a skull since they get knocked out from the slightest tap to the head but last week's was just ridiculous. It tries to play Lois as being some kind of badass ninja or whatever then the Asian girl holding a gun to her head simply lets go and runs away and suddenly Lois is unconscious.

one thing that bothered me though was how the icicle's son was able to take down 3 of his father's enemies so easily when he couldn't. that and the fact that the older heroes were much more experienced than some ex juvy. for the most part they didn't seem any weaker, just a bit older.

next week's ep looks pretty good too.

The creators of the show said from the beginning that it would be an origin story and that he wouldn't fly and wouldn't don the red and blue with cape. However, some have wondered if they may do so anyway. Afterall, he did fly at the beginning of Season 4, I believe, as Kal-El.
