1 to 70 is really fast.

70-80 is a nightmare and takes forever.

80-85 you can hit in a week doing 1 level a day easy.

there is an 80 hunter on the account i have and i've activated the 10 day trial, i just cant get into the game enough to want to level...i just want raid

i'd rather be another tank or some sort of class that allows me to set the pace. A druid or paladin would be perfect...i'd love to be able to dual spec and outfit a healer/tank. DPS was/is boring and i'm not good enough nor interested in pvp until i'm more committed. I just want to mess around in the new raiding/dungeon content

botting is fun as shit, i used to run game in d2 with pindlebot/shopbots...i don't care about compromising my account either

Why not a death knight? They start at 55 and you can solo lots of shit that no one else can. You can tank or dps.

The game would be interesting right now if you haven't played in a while, but many of the existing players aren't really fulfilled/impressed by FL and have quit until 4.3 or beyond.

All i've been doing lately is messing around with some new pvp chars with some RL friends of mine. I'm over the scheduled raiding scene.

I found Alysrazor extremely interesting and working on the epic quest gives me tons of motivation to raid. It helps that I'm in a 2 night a week guild that has progression as goals but doesn't go nuts about it.

Lord Ryolith on the other hand is fucking retarded. DPS adds, die to volcanoes when steerage fucks up. DPS adds, die to Rhyolith eating magma when steerage fucks up. DPS adds, die to stomp in P2 when healers fuck up.

I am back to playing. I gave Aion a try for about a month but with my schedule WoW is still more accessible for my schedule to just log in, do some quests/dailies for a bit and then log off as I need to. Mostly, I am just biding time until SWTOR.

i've just never had the opportunity to get a legendary. in a previous guild it was about seniority for glaives even though the legacy guy was trash. my old guild doesn't actually have a rogue that plays and i thought all the class specific quests were cool in vanilla wow. im hoping it's not some shit like sulfurons hammer or tf where you had to get all that shit from BWL for weeks. eh, the more i think about it, the less im inclined to waste that much time

Also the next expansion is Mists of Pandaria, Pandaren playable race, monk playable class, level 90 cap, no main bad guy, focus on Horde vs. Alliance again.

They're really scraping for subs now, haha. I mean, Pandaren/Monk are two things that never should have been introduced and devs said that time and time again. Anything to get people back for a couple months. WoW really has followed the same cycle as Everquest.

Monks are like the new Paladins. They have a tank spec (Brewmaster), heal spec, and DPS spec.
The healing spec deals with being in melee range, so that should be interesting. They also won't have any auto-attack and will be about the buttons pressed. That should be interesting, though I'm skeptical if it will stay that way.

And lawl at giving WoW a Pokemon mode.

Mists of Pandaria looks, blah. Gimmicky new race, complete removal of silhouette mechanics (they've been whittling away at it for a while, first with red names then with transmog and now with the fluffy monks), and no big central villain.

The loreheads will hate that last one, since it means they're going to have to create new lore for Pandaria rather than expanding existing storylines. Although it seems weird that WoW would hamstring themselves by not having a central villain at the heart of the expansion. It makes storytelling in general harder if you don't have a solid antagonist to play off of. They might be experimenting, but I'm hoping that these Sha things are actually connected to the Old Gods, and we find that increasing hostilities between the factions is due to OG manipulation of Garrosh and Wrynn. My hope would be it leading to a faction having to kill their own leader and replace them. I would think hat Thrall or Saurfang and Malfurion are the natural successors to leadership at this point.

That'd get the factions back into some ability to function together (but not like each other, too much blood spilled and all that) in time for a big Burning Legion invasion.

Also, at this point Blizzard is really starting to lock out new players. At this point looking at Gamestop's website it'd cost a new player $150 to start playing a fully enabled version WoW, and that's not including the monthly fee. That's a HUGE wall to entry.

I, too, was skeptical about the idea of no central villain, since that has been the theme of the last 3 expansions. They did bring up a valid point in that vanilla had no central villain yet was a cherished time of WoW. The problem I see is that there has been prominent warcraft universe figures in the last 3 expansions, and this one brings nothing familiar to the table. I was really hoping for something old god / emerald dream / burning legion related. Hopefully they will lorelol it in at some point.

Here's to hoping the LFR tool works as well as the LFD tool.

So in late September I merged me old account with my new Battlenet account and then added a month subscription. I logged into Shat for the first time since I quit during Burning Crusade and I was the only person in the city. I was like when I logged out no one even bothered leaving Shat.

I got a WotLK trial and started playing. I was at the cusp of 71 in no time and, yet, I found out that you can't actually level until you buy the full game.

Well, I considered it, and I was going to do it until I read old friend's opinions of Cataclysm--how generally bad it was, the newer focuses of the game, how locked out new players are, et cetera. I wanted to start playing again for PVP--it's all I ever really cared about--but it doesn't seem worth it.

Ultimately decided against buying Lich King and am just going to let the subscription die. Sorry WoW, I almost came back to you.

Blizzard won't let new players pay 150 in startup. At the very least everything will be 10 bucks save for the newest expansion. There should be a serious bundle pack for vanilla - cataclysm.

Or just buy an 85 from Snowy.
