The analogy is disturbingly accurate. It would really not be all that difficult to determine who in the US carries the gene for hemophilia. Driving a car is a constant, active act, where as birth control is a more passive, latent act. People who incorrectly use birth control don't know they are doing so, where as when someone screws up and hits someone, they know right away that they screwed up.

Incorrectly using birth control is like someone who is naturally a bad speller. They might think they are spelling stuff right, but come grade time, they will find out they were sorely mistaken. Incorrectly driving is like incorrectly using an umbrella when it's raining, you immediately know that something is not right.

Well, people can also incorrectly use birth control, and still also not get pregnant, or get someone pregnant. It's like when people say that nothing is illegal, as long as you don't get caught. It wouldn't even be an issue if someone screwed up with the BC, if nothing bad comes of it. When people make driving errors because of negligence, they usually realize it, when someone drives drunk, they know they're doing it, but they are doing it anyway with the hopes of not getting caught. When someone screws up with rolling on their condom, they usually aren't aware of it, and probably never would be, unless they happened to get someone pregnant.

I'm not asking them to do that. The only BC that has to be actively used during the act is a condom, and plenty of people seem to be able to manage that brain-taxing operation just fine. Enough that I suspect the rest of them could, too.

The better forms (pill, etc) require you to do all the thinking before you do all the fucking, and I do not think it is unreasonable to demand that women who are so interested in 'levelling the playing field' read the instructions, listen to their doctors, and use the shit correctly.
