If we can get a couple people to go to either Moroso or Sebring on the 30th I'll do it.

Otherwise I guess we're going to chill till NASA and Tarheel pickup?

yeah i went and found a way to get the link.

im sayin, working events, its good because you get up close and personal views of the cars and what lines they take. plus its a good way of giving back to the track community.

if im still in raleigh for august, i may work 2 and then do road atlanta in august, thats if i cant get someone to lend me some of their credits for the march road atlanta event.

its really not that bad on tires as i had expected. Get a set of azenis for cheap and track those plus they're really good tires in the winter time so they don't get too hot

Azenis are terrible winter tires, in either wet or the slick, white stuff.

They're the best track tires @ price point I believe though.

Ray, you might want to check with the NSX guys on what they use for rear tires at track events.

ummm...they aren't 'winter tires' but they are great tires to use on track during the winter. because if they get too hot they get greasy, and with cold temps outside they get extremely sticky without getting too hot. Azenis are a great bang for your buck for track use.

And Azenis have shown to be great in the 'wet'. Every single tire i can think of that can be used on track will come with a warning label that says do not use in 'white stuff'.

^i guess you're out for Sebring?

Why do you AWD guys care what tires you have strapped on to your coffins. You're gonna be pushing no matter what

Yea I researched a bunch of stuff for Sebring and I think Chin is the only group running it. The other groups listed at trackschedule actually had different events then what was listed. Nobody really wants to go on the 30th or 31st of December, which is understandable so I guess I won't either

Yes.

As I was saying, that event isn't actually listed on the sunshine beamers club website. They apparently joined with another club and pushed their sebring event out to January for "winterfest".

Their only december event is Homestead this weekend.

werd. outside the car would be cool.

but im sure there will be a hard time trying to convince the club you are running with to have the camera mounted outside.

Well, looks like that clamp-on camera won't work. It's maximum clamp diameter is 1.5", and my bar is 1.75"

looks like another fun filled weekend at VIR has come to a close. No one got hurt, no cars got damaged (in our group at least) and everyone (almost) got to drive their rides home.
