haha, you know the cold weather plays a big role in it.

thats why i took my heat gun (but never used it)... just to heat up the glass a bit.

i mounted mine "right", but it was over the defrost lines and on a cold windshield

Callahan, have you looked at the I/O Port mount? It should fit a 1.75" bar.

yeah but this time trials is with thscc..

unless nasa has one the same day.

well the crappy part is that VIR doesnt have time trials with nasa, and thats the closest any of us will get to TT license. unless you run another track like 40 times.

Ahmet

PS: Mark, look at the side wall of your front left tire, and tell me you weren't over driving the car...

I'm not overdriving the car. I am over driving the tires. they aren't the best tire in the world. That will change come r-comps.

actually when you look at the full size version it doesn't even have much roll over.

haha well i don't see what ahmet has a problem with, because my lines were excellent, the car wasn't riggling out of control, i was keeping up with if not passing pretty much most of the cars out there in my run group, i was progressivly getting faster with each session and lap. If thats 'overdriving' then i guess thats a good thing?

It wouldn't be the tires since you've got grip and the front right spring is under full load.

I think ahmet's point is that the picture shows the majority of the weight of the car on the right side of the car with a bias of that to the front right suspension bits (weight transfer to front)

Meaning

You were braking into the turn?

Oh Markus... You're fast, you seem to be fairly consistent. Nobody's arguing that. You're VERY fast for the experience you have. I just think that controlling your entry speeds (slower entry -->faster exit) would make you faster still, and safer. I won't bug you any more about it.

haha...dude i'm not braking into the turns except trailbraking into 1 because it helps understeer and allows faster entry and faster exit speeds. Ego has nothing to do with it, if my instructors (who are the ones that don't know me and actually are the ones riding with me) say i'm doing a good job well then i'll let you 'old guys' call them liars. If you guys have a problem with my driving, simple enough, don't ride with me.

/discussion

^^its funny because i'm older than pretty much everyone that goes tracking on here except rich and rex.

when the time comes and i drive a spec miata or whatever...driving style will be completely different. Just because i have a evo doesn't mean i drive it like a miata. I don't lift, i don't brake mid turn, i'm fairly smooth in weight transfers, i know how to transfer the weight of the car properly. If i were in a rear wheel drive vechile i'd still have the concept but i wouldn't be able to enter into a turn as fast because i won't be understeering but oversteering.
