That is easily the most upset I have ever seen Rivers. I could not believe how many offsides and neutral zone infractions the Bears were getting away with.

Between that game and the horrible offensive passing interference call on Todd Heap at the end of the Ravens-Bengals game, I wanted to punch some refs in the face (and I am not even a Ravens fan and don't have Heap on my fantasy teams - I hate seeing refs take over the game like that).

Don't forget that they lost Wade Phillips, one of the best DC's in the game.

it's as if each stride he took was only a foot long.

i've seen cell phones on vibrate move fast on a tabletop than that "run"

gotta give props to the line for holden the D back for that long, and naturally props to Rivers as well.

Come on Phil. I have you on my fantasy team (even though I am not playing you until you show some consistency).

Honestly this Chargers team is merely a shadow of the team they had last year. Fuck you Norv Turner, the most overrated coach in the history of life.

I don't think it's possible for the coach widely regarded as the worst in the league to be overrated.

The one thing I don't understand is the media's hard-on for Rivers' demise. Why are they seemingly rooting so hard for someone to fail in just his second year starting full time? Is it some sort of backlash at letting Brees go the way the Chargers did? I'm just not understanding.

eh, any struggling qb on a team with high expectations is going to take a lot of heat. It's not a hard-on for his demise, it's a hard-on for any qb on a highly touted teams demise. It gives them something to talk about.

the o-line is underachieving this year. the WRs were crap. LT couldn't get going because of the o-line, and likely because he sat out the preseason and didn't get to work with them as much in game situations. Rivers hasn't been great. Hell, some games he hasn't been good, but the coaches have stunk it up this year.

Yeah, the so called "fans" on the Chargers boards are really down on him. It's really frustrating to read. Granted, he's not playing well, but the whole team is playing bad football. They were all over Rivers' sack last year when he as a pro bowl qb, now they're calling for Billy Volek. They're blaming LT's poor performance on Rivers. They're fan base is about as fickle as they come.

Um...LT hasn't played a preseason game in the last few seasons, i.e. last season when he broke the record for most touchdowns in a season by a running back

Yeah, the offense was supposed to be the same as when Cam Cameron was running it, but it's not. The philosophy is different. It's a finesse team instead of a physical team now. They are lucky to be leading that division.
