A lot of my favorite things are diesel powered as well...I used to drive a rolloff truck like the one below, straight out of high school. Got my Class B about 2 years before the Federal CDL became mandatory.

I'd rather have the C8.3 cummins over the Cat 3208 any day, though I've seen some Cats make tremendous power. Two of the trucks I drove had 3208s in them, but neither was turbocharged. I'd love to figure out a way to squeeze the Cummins C-series in a pickup, but I think it's noticeably longer. But it would go so well with that Eaton-Fuller 5 speed I have waiting.

^^The Mack I drove had twin gearsticks. Low range, high range, reverse range in the duplex box. Five gears in the primary box. I could run through five gears in reverse.

I sure as hell wish I had gone with you fellas, maybe gotten Danny or Matt to drive the SuperDodge on the way up if I had towed Ricky's trailer...and slept on the way.

The only things I did were to go to Betski's Saturday night, and then an after party that wasn't too bad (met lots of folks, and a few wimmens to boot). And I walked 6 blocks home at 4am.

I think the 4-wheeling might have been just a little bit more fun...
