^ I know black people have been dealing with that forever, but imagine being black knowing it’s people like that leading you, then trying to live a normal life.

Why do you care what Jon Voight says? Why does anyone care what the fuck Jon Voight says or thinks about anything?

par for the course and just confirmation of what we've already known to be true. what's more bewildering is when people are actually advocating for you.

holy shit! just saw that jon voight shit. when exactly did racism get solved? asking for a friend.

Why even look at it? What topics do you care to hear Voight opine on?

^ we have to be careful with what we expose our brains to but it’s useful to know what the other side is hearing and seeing too.

Look at the comments there, those people hear a crystal clear message even though what voight is saying is mostly incomprehensible.

Listen, I get how people can become republicans. It's not for me, but I see how some people can get on a path to get there.

What I can't understand is what type of young person chooses to be a republican, especially to the point where you wear a Mitch shirt, have Kavanaugh faces, and a huge AOC cut out. I often find myself wondering what has happened in their life to get them to this point.*

*obviously the answer is have rapidly republican parents and an isolated social circle of the same, with dashes of fear that whites will lose power/relevance in this country just because minorities (and women) are approaching equality.

same reason people without any affiliation or allegiance to a university might decide to be a UNC fan or Alabama fan, they want to be a part of the team and feel better than others. the mitch shirt or kavanaugh faces is no different than posters or t-shirts that make fun of your rival football or basketball team to them.

they’re all young shitheads who are looking to provoke just for the sake of provoking and at some point the line gets blurred and they become True Believers

I'm not sure what would have caused such a stark increase between March 2018 and July 2019, other than the rhetoric surrounding the 2018 election; however, I would think that the results of that rhetoric would have dissipated by now.

I wish that graph went from 2009, or at least February 2016. It’s fascinating that the same people, not even party but specific people, who denounced Obama’s ability to nominate a judge or use of executive mandates are now saying executive power is essentially unchecked. There is and obvious degree of intellectual dishonesty there that I’m shocked anyone can ignore.

Tom Cotton is actually a big dumb piece of shit but it makes me laugh that Trump forces him to debase himself too.
