I think we need to have some non-revenue sports names on that list. Between men's and women's cross country and track and field, Rollie Geiger has coached 39 ACC champion teams. Has to be in the first class.

he's not retired, so isn't eligible.

other than that our non-revenue sports suck ass and are irrelevant.

Yeah I can't read good.

Obviously the 83 team gets in first then. Although would they put in V separately or what?

i think if jimmy V gets the love in the first year, then itll be the 73and or74 team to get the nod in over the 83 team

^^^^Doesn't say anything about coaches having to be retired. Just student athletes having to be gone for at least 5 years.

^ I would imagine they will follow some form of this:

Quote :
"A coach becomes eligible three years after retirement or immediately following retirement provided he is at least 70 years of age. Active coaches become eligible at 75 years of age."

We finished 37th in the Director's Cup standings which is the best finish for us in 6 years. 52 spots better than 2 years ago.

Kudos++;

^Yeah, when I first heard that I was
then I realized that the only way to achieve something like that is to probably be at the bottom of the bottom to begin with

But still, it's nice to see the ship finally righted.

Are you kidding me? I can't get over how serious she takes random emails from regular people/fans. I mean, I might respond to an email that fast if it's really important or if I have nothing else going on at the moment. But you know she has all kinds of seriously important issues flying across her desk like a conveyor belt every day. Issues dealing with sums of money in the millions. And she answers your email in 7 minutes?!

the Philip Rivers plaque in the Walk of Champions

the quality of the picture of him is the worst, most pixelated picture they could have found while doing a google image search. shit's been killing me for years and after seeing it again last night, I decided it could be worth a shot to email her about it. I was very clear at how little/ridiculous of a complaint it is, but she responded:

Quote :
"
Justin,
How Philip looks matters to us.
Dick, contact the right person in the Wolfpack Club and determine how and when this can be remedied.
Let Justin and me know the plan. Thanks for your help.
D."

and a response from Dick:

Quote :
"Thanks for your email Justin.

We have noticed the picture quality as well and are looking for quotes to best address the problem without losing the consistency with which each of the retired jersey pillars is displayed. I've touched base with the Wolfpack Club and our marketing staff to determine our next steps to address the issue.

Thanks

Dick"

I sent her an e-mail too a while back and got a personal response within 15 minutes (though she didn't have an answer to my question and had to forward it to Dick like above).

Here it was:

Quote :
"During my time at State, I went to a lot of football games. One of the biggest things that bothered me was the fact that the student section is on the east side of the stadium. I realize that the "better" seats for the games are under the shadow of the Vaughn Towers and I'm okay with that. However, rather than let our students sit on the "Home" side of the field, we place them on the "Visitor" side and allow the visitors to sit on the "Home" side. During halftime, the band comes out and plays facing the "Home" side, and consequently, the visitors who are seated there rather than the students. Why aren't the students on the "Home" side and also the side of the field which gets the focus of the band?"

Quote :
"Jordan,

Interesting question for which I do not have the answer.

Dick, can you shed light on this for us?

Debbie"

Quote :
"Jordan,

Thanks for reaching out to us and for your support of State Athletics. Your question about student seating is a good one and unfortunately the best answer I have for you is more historical in nature. Students have been located on the southeast side of the stadium for at least 15 years so I am unsure of the original reason. It was likely the place that the largest block of inventory was available and as a result we have since built around that set-up. The good news is that in recent years we have moved a significant amount of student seating down near the field (adding sections 116-119 & 120-129). Last season, we were also able to add an additional 750 seats to the allotment bringing students up to 10,000 total tickets.

You will be pleased to know that beginning this season, there will be no lower-level visitor seating on the west side of the stadium. We have reassigned them to section 1 and relocated our section 1 patrons to section 17 on the West.

In the short-term what we might be able to do is raise your concerns with our Band director so that he may be able to script more of the on-field performances to serve our east side patrons.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thanks

Dick"

The band alternates which side of the stadium they play towards between games. They usually learn a show and perform it for both sides before playing a new show.

You're gonna need to define corp style. Corp style means something very specific to me and NCSU's band is certainly not in my definition.

This is true.

Also shut up about the band. As long as they play the fight song and the red and white song, I don't give a shit what they do.

I love the growth of the band of the last few years...it was pretty hilarious when I went to the wake game last year and our band was there.

wake's band was no more than 25% of the size of our band.
