At this point, Dems should be focused on cleaning house, dropping the and disavowing the crazies in their party and coming up with same and nuanced positions on issues. Donald Trump is a hot, steaming pile of garbage, and the country knows it at this point. The country voted him in anyway, and that speaks mountains about what it thinks about Democrats right now. Populism is easy and primal but not always practical and sustainable

It’s trumps biggest weakness— you can win easily with a populist message but it will eventually collapse. Bernie has a similar problem if he were to ever win

It’s why I think AOC perfectly threads the needle. She came in as a strong populist but also knows how to work within the machine
