wonder if an oversized poster of ^^^^^ at home games would make him miss FTs, or go off for 25 points a game

We're gonna miss this guy big time next year. Who do we in-bounds it to once Wood is gone? Purvis? Lewis? I shudder at the thought.

Thanks Scott. Clutch.

"Scott Wood on if this is the biggest win of his career: “I don’t know. It’s tough because they’re not 100 percent healthy. Curry’s a little beat up, Kelly’s a little beat up, so it’s tough to say this is the best win. ... But to win the ACC, you have to go through Duke. I’d like to win against them when they’re 100 percent.”"

Now that's how a real competitor thinks

Can't argue with 3-3 from 3's and 5-5 from FT.

14 points off 3 FG attempts and five possessions...

He didn't do too much else but that is some serious offensive efficiency.

he kept one of their defenders on him tight every minute he was in the game, helping out the rest of the team and helping prevent duke have the ability to doubleteam on his side of the floor

but aside from that, what else is he supposed to do? his role is to knock down 3 pointers and free throws, which he did

after they pointed it out and i started looking for it specifically, wood opens up a lot of things on the floor running his circles.

yeah he's always done a great job helping us space the floor. We just haven't had enough scoring options to take advantage of that on some of our other squads...

I remember when Tracy would draw double teams and he'd kick it to Wood and the defense would rotate off Mays or Degand or whoever and leave them wide open to brick it.

it's better if we just don't think about such things.

Scott really sprouted a set of balls this year, he's finally hitting big shots when it counts and against the best teams. Those long-ass 3's really set the tone and opened things up under the basket for Leslie / Howell. Love how automatic he is when it's time to ice the game, it's come in handy 3 games in a row.

He needs 51 more 3s to break Rodney Monroe's Wolfpack record (322).

he needs to average about 2.5 - 3 three's per game the rest of the season to do it

depending how far we go in the acc championship and the ncaa tournament, he could get there averaging just under 2.5 per game.

Pls to bench. Cant create his own shot, cant play defense. Pretty much the same story for 2 years. Long streaks of ice cold in ACC play. He's a good role player but better off coming off the bench

I said this in the game thread, but thank God for Scott Wood.

His two three's in the second half we're unbelievably huge -- both thwarted big UNC runs. Then the two clutch free throws at the end ... clutch.

He might've blown it against WFU, but he's clutch as they get at home. Scary to think how many close games we'd lose without him.

I will appreciate it when you graduate. All you are good for at this point is late in the game FTs.

Your streaky 3 point shooting is not enough to compensate for your inability to create your own shot and some of the worst defense that I've ever seen.
