First thought that occurred to me is that he used "unbeknownst" and also wrote complete coherent sentences. Then I came across this reply tweet:

Quote :
"Can not be true. If it is, it means that within the past 24 hours, Individual-1 has learned to not only spell, expand his vocabulary, use words correctly, but to now be able to write coherently using complete sentences. This is either a hoax or Putin is now tweeting for POTUS.Can not be true. If it really wasn't him, I wonder who is pulling the strings in the establishment.

The difference is that liberals pretend our history is better than Trump. Republicans are all for all of the above and embrace the things we find as unrighteous. They are at least consistent in signing off on our history and our present. They love the monster and some don't mind if the mask is off. Most conservatives will admit things America does are not "nice" but they will say things like "facts don't care about your feelings" and that "theres no better alternative" and "even though the us has its flaws, the world would be a much worse place without it" or "we had to do those things or you wouldn't be sitting here free today".

Conservatives generally think the options are America's way (which isn't always "nice") or complete tyranny and starvation for the sake of being "nice". Thats why they put up with Trump. They actually believe "democrat postmodernism" (aka being decent) only leads to gulags and famine. Trump is the red pill.

Liberals pretend the US was "nice" and that all of its evil was created January of 2017 as a dark cloud rolled over the country and we just need to get the orange man bad out and then we will go back to righteousness. You hear them say things like "this is not who we are". They want the blue pill.

Quote :
"At the U.S. Military Academy last year(2014), Obama pronounced unequivocally: “I believe in American exceptionalism with every fiber of my being.” That’s just one of many examples"

Obama
Quote :
"“But, see all of this in the context. I say to them sometimes: ‘When you leave this Earth and go to heaven and meet our Founders, are you going to say to them: I did everything in my power to suppress the vote--because that is what you are doing. That is what you are doing--affecting by the Census what happens in redistricting and reapportionment through the country, but only, not only that, delivery of service.’"

Pelosi thinks the founding fathers are in "heaven" which is literally calling them saints.

Meanwhile Donald Trump
Quote :
"“You think our country is so innocent?”"

the "unmasked monster" fans celebrate it but acknowledge that it isn't "innocent". See the difference?

If you want specific examples I could go through and gather liberal vs conservative quotes on a specific issue like the border but it would basically be a collection of

republicans saying "we have to secure the border and the unintended consequences of deportations and enforcement are necessary because those people shouldn't have come illegal"

liberals saying "we have to secure the border but lets find a nice way to enforce it and let some people stay but only as 2nd class unofficial citizens"

leftists saying " the entire concept of the border is bullshit because the country was stolen to begin with and we created the problems that have driven these people to search for a better life. Besides, immigrants provide a net benefit to society and your life is shitty because capitalists are taking too much money, not the poor immigrants who pick your fruit for next to nothing. "

The gap between liberals and republicans is much smaller than the gap between liberals and leftists and its obvious. Thats why they pretend in some bs like "horseshoe theory". They only want to signal virtue but don't actually want to live it. They are basically just republicans who feel guilty about everything so they need to hear speeches that make them feel warm and fuzzy.

[Edited on September 9, 2019 at 2:40 AM. Reason : they could really use a warm and fuzzy speech right about now to make it all better]

It is. And even if we forget all about the overly conspicuous corruption in the Trump campaign, there's also the incompetence. You pretend as though Trump just another typical American president. Without even addressing the corruption which you are fixated on, incompetence is also a major factor.

It’s a complete straw man. I literally don’t think there is a single person on TWW who hasn’t criticized the US at large and previous ostensibly left presidents. Clinton and Obama both get heavy criticism for certain parts of their foreign policy specifically (as well as for criminal justice and immigration policy).

Saying Obama was better for more people than Trump is the lowest possible bar you can ever set.

[Edited on September 9, 2019 at 8:24 AM. Reason : And to some Bernie and Trump are the same side of anti-establishment. Policy doesn’t matter to those]

Yeah, the same people who shout about American Exceptionalism are the same ones that think Trump Made America Exceptional again are the same ones that are whitewashing American history. In fact, it's them that get upset with liberals for pointing out American corruption in the past.

Russian Trolls should probably do more research on America.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/09/climate/hurrican-dorian-trump-tweet.html

Quote :
"The Secretary of Commerce threatened to fire top employees at NOAA on Friday after the agency’s Birmingham office contradicted President Trump’s claim that Hurricane Dorian might hit Alabama, according to three people familiar with the discussion.

[...]

The actions by the Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur L. Ross Jr., are the latest developments in a political imbroglio that began more than a week ago, when Dorian was bearing down on the Bahamas and Mr. Trump wrote on Twitter that Alabama would be hit “harder than anticipated.” A few minutes later, the National Weather Service in Birmingham, Ala., posted on Twitter that “Alabama will NOT see any impacts from Dorian. We repeat, no impacts from Hurricane Dorian will be felt across Alabama.”

Mr. Trump persisted in saying that Alabama was at risk and a few days later, on Sept. 4, he displayed a NOAA map that appeared to have been altered with a black Sharpie to include Alabama in the area potentially affected by Dorian.

Mr. Ross, the commerce secretary, intervened two days later, early last Friday, according to the three people familiar with his actions. Mr. Ross phoned Neil Jacobs, the acting administrator of NOAA, from Greece where the secretary was traveling for meetings and instructed Dr. Jacobs to fix the agency’s perceived contradiction of the president.

Dr. Jacobs objected to the demand and was told that the political staff at NOAA would be fired if the situation was not fixed, according to the three individuals, who requested anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the episode. Unlike career government employees, political staff are appointed by the administration. They usually include a handful of top officials, such as Dr. Jacobs, and their aides.

However, a senior administration official who asked not to be identified when discussing internal deliberations said that the Birmingham office had been wrong and that NOAA had simply done the responsible thing and corrected the record.

That official suggested the Twitter post by the Birmingham forecasters had been motivated by a desire to embarrass the president more than concern for the safety of people in Alabama. The official provided no evidence to support that conclusion."

- cia was worried trump would maliciously release the identity of the main Russian spy they have stationed there and pulled him out

Nothing meaningful and new has happened under Trump. Trump is the most typical American president of my life because his characteristics have been present in every layer of society. Have you ever listened to Joe Biden talk? Did you ignore the quotes I posted?

Liberals just got done celebrating John Mccain and both bushes for being great leaders.

Quote :
"The relentless media love-bombing of McCain has completely transformed his reputation. According to a Fox News poll, while just 41 per cent of Republicans hold a favourable view of the late senator, 60 per cent of Democrats do. Similarly, George W Bush, architect of the 21st century’s bloodiest war and overseer of the financial crisis, now receives standing ovations at speaking engagements because he has criticised Trump. His approval rating has rocketed to 54 per cent among Democrats, according to a CNN poll."

Literal data showing what I'm saying.

Other presidents and the US at large have had major, major flaws.

Trump is a uniquely bad person and President. If you have firing synapses in your brain you will realize these aren’t mutually exclusive.

If he was remotely competent or good at anything he’d be, by far the worst I can remember. Luckily he’s too demented and obsessive to follow through on his worst instincts and hires the absolute worst of the worst who can’t either.

W was so bad precisely because he hired competent people who were able to mislead and push horrible policy.

Flynn -> Mcmaster -> Bolton

McMaster was probably the most credible of the bunch

Trump clearly can't handle any amount of disagreement whether it's from more war or less war sides of the fence.

I'm hoping McConnell has enough sense to see what a dangerous situation it is when Trump has no credible people telling him what to do about war and safety and security.

The prince thing was rampant speculation to be clear, but seems like a very trump thing to do.

And the Ukraine thing wasn’t testimony, Ukraine just posted a readout of a call with The trump team that had the documentation of their quid pro quo request. However it does seem like the house committee investigating this knows more than they’re letting on.

He probably pushed Dan Bishop across the finish line. But, of course, the only reason he was was even needed is because of his DEEP unpopularity in anything remotely resembling a suburban or urban area.

A lot can change but I can’t see how Trump can win without reclaiming suburban women at least in part. And I can’t see how he’d do that at this point. Maybe Chuck Todd thinks a pivot is coming still but no one else in the world does.

And with a clearly softening economy his message will be all hate and just alienate educated people more. This is going to be such and ugly campaign.

Anyone else following these timelines regarding the whistleblower complaint that Schiff is pursuing? The innuendo is damning AF. I just don’t see how anyone that pretends to be concerned with national security could waffle on not casting a vote against Trump on 2020, no matter who the Dem nominee is. Trump is compromised and it’s kinda blatant at this point.

This is a complete guess and in a different venue would be irresponsible (but it’s TWW so who cares) but turning over Browder to Putin in an appeasement effort?

So it was about a phone call which means it must’ve been someone in the NSC or a translator, no?

Rumblings now are it’s about trump quid pro quo with Ukraine if they help him win the election.

Constitution and separation of powers gives president broad authority though. Even if it was something absurd like he would give Russia Alaska to attack China, this would be privileged and executive would be justified in keeping this from Congress.

But if it’s a crime there would have to be proof it wasn’t just rhetoric but they intended to follow up. Just today the trump admin released aid to Ukraine. That’s why it’s so important for congress to use contempt charges sooner. The more time they give trump to keep this buried the more they blunt the public impact.

The entire interview was bonkers. I almost feel sorry for Rudy. He went from being the beloved mayor of NYC that 'cleaned up' the city after 9/11, to having a real shot at becoming the GOP nom in 2008, to a totally washed up, delusional, and pathetic sycophant lawyer for the worst president in American history. Almost.

Of course, this was just another distraction, just like his earlier meltdowns were about Stormy Daniels.

I had actually been starting to wonder when he'd resurface again the other day, and then BAM!

Crazy to think that just a few weeks ago the nation was transfixed by #sharpiegate, and now here we are...
