Yeah. At first I thought the guys they were interviewing had come around or were from the more 'normal' GOP crowd. They were articulate and respectful for the most part and describing the situation and then you heard their views and it hits you.
The writers chose their congressmen very well, especially with the dynamic of that Republican.

Having the guys who 'invaded' and the congressmen who hid in the building being interviewed in the same setting and switching from scene to scene like that was surreal. You best described the documentary in being "unvarnished".

I enjoy this format much more over the ones which have their own analysts and commentary. Although I suppose that those have their own place.

I'm undecided if that's a bad sign for democracy. Could be an older person setting a responsible end date on his elected service, which could be a good sign in some ways.

Although I'm sure I share your extreme cynicism that the eventual replacement will be any kind of upgrade in responsible leadership.
