I want to go for a ride in a private airplane, Cessna or something comparable, oh I'm bringing this girl I just met that I'm trying to impress. 1 hour or so, we both just graduated college last year and are on a bad economy budget.
an hour or so would be amazing, i can even bring food or pay for gas(correction,, airplane fuel)

how many sandwiches is the wet rate for a Cessna 172? Also, maybe since he's trying to impress this girl the place could take off from a conveyor belt.

LOL... so you want to impress a girl by getting someone else to take her up in a Cessna 172?? If she's not an aviation enthusiast then you're pretty much wasting your money. It's like riding in a Geo Metro down I-40.

A 182, on the other hand, is a beautiful flying machine.

The key to slappy1's heart is a constant speed propeller.

Yep, that's a new one on me, too.

Legally, a private pilot cannot accept compensation of more than half the cost of fuel in such a case unless he has a commercial pilot rating.

V This man's rolly eyes speak the truth. To a non-pilot or aviation enthusiast, the only real noticeable difference between the two is the back window and the trailing edge of the wings, and even with those you'd have to be looking for differences to find them.

You're better off calling a local FBO and paying for an 'introductory lesson' for either her or you. A basic intro. lesson is pretty much just to take you out wherever to show you around and some basic rules of flying. Most places will let you take one other person with you to ride in the back free of charge. Those typically range from $150 to $200 and it's about an hour of flying.

[Edited on June 2, 2012 at 6:13 PM. Reason : It'll probably be in a Cessna or a Piper Cub or something similar. ]

This guy is onto my game. I take girls up in planes, with sandwiches, all the time. The sandwiches always seem to impress more.
