I don't claim to know the future so I don't understand how I am supposed to know what will happen next or "in 20 minutes". This is all pretty unprecedented.
Quote : | " and then the second hit about him testifying against Trump comes out." |
that they have to slow leak "hits" about manufactured crimes shows how little they actually have.
Quote : | "Mueller is playing these idiots like a fiddle. Stupid Watergate indeed." |
Seems like a bunch of wishful thinking to me. I'll believe it when I see it and so far I don't believe they have anything on Trump and are desperately scrambling to find something by "investigating" everyone until someone lies, filing charges for lying, then moving on to the next person. Flynn's word isn't worth anything. Of course he says he is cooperating but what incentive is there to further cooperate after charges of lying have already been filed?
Seems like a shot in the dark.12/1/2017 10:16:19 PM |

They are "totally in a bubble," the source said.
The White House, the source said, should be taking news about Michael Flynn much more seriously.
"This is like a red alert," the source said.
But the source said White House officials insist repeatedly that the President expects to be cleared by special counsel Robert Mueller's team.
"They think he's going to be exonerated very soon," the source added." |

So does the correction to the story make it a non-story? The fact that Trump requested this contact as president-elect, rather than during the campaign? I mean that is a pretty standard thing for president-elects isn't it? 12/1/2017 11:06:02 PM |

I don't believe so since his nominations have to be approved by the Senate and be sworn in. So even if he was nominated, he hadn't gone through that process yet.
You could argue it's a technicality but by the same token, the law exists for some important reasons and there was literally no reason to do any of this if you are a rational, incoming President.

I haven't had a chance to read this yet but it shows Flynn being sworn in on January 22.

It makes sense that someone who suspends bias would have views in common with a lot of different groups on issues that typically divide people based on their in-group.
Its funny how you get criticized for taking the time to see everyone's perspective.

ABC suspended the guy without pay, rightfully. Though questions should be asked about how it got through their vetting processes.
Accountability is something legit news outlets have. Seth Rich FNC story? Still zero accountability. If you want fake news it starts and ends over there. 12/3/2017 5:10:16 PM |

I mean, it's true, collusion is not a crime. Criminal conspiracy is though. So is accepting a bribe and money laundering. ^It's gonna take MASSIVE GOP losses in 2018 before serious impeachment/25th amendment discussions occur in congress. Even then it'll be a long shot. I'd say there is a better chance of Trump resigning immediately after indictments drop.
^^Im still surprised at how much of the GOP is inching in that direction. Sure, the slack-jawed contingent of the GOP is gonna be gung-ho on investigating/firing Mueller, but it seems like more moderate members are inching that direction too. Seems like a damn big gamble to keep a guy in office that doesn't seem to help much electorally and who would gladly stab you in the back as needed.
Just add it as another data point on why the GOP is irredeemable. 12/13/2017 12:26:24 PM |

My guess is Mueller wraps up in Jan and instead of charging Trump, throws it to Congress to impeach. They'll delay as long as they can to get through mid-terms. They may or may not lose mid-terms but if they do, Dems will impeach immediately. Then Trump will either resign and Pence will pardon him because that's what our shitty politicians do for each other or he'll fight the impeachment and get enough stonewalling from Congress (I think they have to have 2/3rds to convict) to prevent impeachment from going through. Dems will continue trying and will lose the next election over it which sucks.
Unless Mueller can hit Trump with money laundering. Outside of obstruction, I think that's the thing that Mueller has a shot at pinning on him and if that's the case, my guess is Mueller flat out prosecutes and Congress is forced to impeach at the same time. 12/13/2017 1:27:42 PM |

Two things, correct me where you think I'm wrong:
You CAN charge a president for crimes that occurred before inauguration?
Mueller COULD (either openly or through leaks) release an indictment of Trump, putting the ball in Congress's court to impeach? I'd love to watch the GOP twist in the wind defending a massive lode of treason evidence. 12/13/2017 1:57:36 PM |
