There's somebody with a white GTR near my house. It has a REALLY loud exhaust, and he's driving it he stole it every time I see it. WOT at pretty much every stop sign/light, every onramp, and at pretty much every other throttle application, haha.

Becareful with that. I was about to purchase one off groupon until I did research, hidden fees, "tip for passenger" etc. The one on groupon charged you 1k if you hit a cone, or rev'd passed 6500 (which is insane in a car that revs to 10k).

I'm hunting for the holy grail of G8's. GXP M6 Firehawk edition.

I still wish I'd of just bit the bullet and payed more and gotten the C6. When you drive a vette other vettes wave (Its the craziest thing), where as I've yet to cross a G8 with anything aftermarket, or a male driver.

I bought the G8 because its better than driving a Camaro or Mustang. When I see a G8 I wonder how this car didn't sale better.

^The whole "wave" thing really depends on the demographics TBH. S2000 owners were really great about waving to each other, but less so with the BRZ/FRS - and I think part of that issue stems from the Twins appealing to more than just the hardcore sports enthusiast (the type most likely to drive an S2000). I'll wave to fellow Cayman/Boxster owners, but for 911s usually just a nod of approval. Still, getting a reply back depends greatly on the person driving.

Hey now! haha. Honestly I only see one Cayman a day on a regular basis - a yellow base model traveling the opposite direction on I-40 during my morning commute. Though for some strange reason I didn't see him today. Otherwise I probably see 1-3 a week on average. Still a lot more than Pontiac G8's though.

How rare are Maclarens?? We were driving back from the in-laws in Connecticut this past weekend and my wife goes, "check out this orange car coming up behind us...its weaving in and out of traffic like Fast and the Furious."

As it passed I saw "Maclaren" on the back. I think it looked like this:

too bad they fuglied it up by changing the front end, actually, not changing, rather replacing the whole front end with that from the P1.

and now it is called 650S. sure, it is a bit more powerful, but doesn't look good.

BJ, no idea they cost that much? Not to insult you, but do you know anything about McLaren? Also the price of a 12C (and now 650S) is competitive with that of the Italia.

Most comments I've seen for the 650S are positive, and an improvement over the 12C. I think it looks great as well.The only real complaints that people have now are that it looks too similar to the P1, at around 1/4th the cost (ie makes the P1 look less special).
