Is it leaking from you master cylinder when you are on a big incline. Leading you to believe that you are loosing fluid from line when indeed it is a leak in the master cylinder area. This would explain both caliper 'leaks' and be a pretty easy fix.

On my car tonight finished installing the drive train.. Now onto wiring

^^back off! Car's 19 years old with 283,000

^^^Hmm, I hadn't thought of that. Though I'm not sure that is it. When it's leaked on the wheels it has done so while moving, b/c the brake fluid was flung out through the spokes from the centrifugal force. However most of the leaking I've seen (based on puddles) has been while the car is parked on my street, which is slightly downhill. Is it possible for fluid to leak from the master cylinder and still travel down on the outside of the brake lines to the calipers while the vehicle is in motion? The master cylinder isn't the original...I think it's around 8 years old.

On a side note I drove the Integra to work today (15 miles mixed between city and highway usage) and both front wheels were bone dry...no leaking.

Left work to go to physical therapy and lunch and checked the wheels after parking the car...definitely brake fluid leaking on the driver's side front wheel again. Everywhere the car's been parked today is on level groupd.

Had a shop install carbotech pads, bendix rotors, and goodridge stainless brake lines on the z06, and filled it all with super blue.

Ram is over there now getting a brake fluid flush and 2 new wheel cylinders.

Been working on the race jeep more. Added some go-fast shocks for the bling factor in the rear and re-worked my bumpstop setup. Swapped in the 4.56 geared rear axle to match the front.

Added a spare tire mount after nearly losing the spare in the last race. I designed the cage originally to lay a 33" tire flat, but now I have to lean the 36 up for it to fit...

99 XJ... replaced rear main seal, oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, and steering stabilizer 2 weeks ago. Then put some new Michelin LTX M/S's on it. This past Wednesday, replaced the oil pressure sending unit. This weekend I'm tackling the oil filter adapter o-rings, then hopefully nothing but oil changes for awhile.

09 F150... found the hidden 2nd USB port and wired it up to the center console. Planning to wire up some puddle lamps and mod the front-of-the-mirror reflectors to accomodate LED's wired to the turn signals.

put a new battery in the BMW bike.

The previous battery was installed about 10 years ago. Whoever did it was an idiot, or an asshole, or both, because he installed a battery that was physically too large. So large, in fact, that I had to dismantle the back half of the motorcycle to get it out (it would not fit between the frame rails to be removed out the top as BMW intended.

I detailed the interior of the Lexus today. Washed the Mazda and lightly sanded the rims. They had a lot of stains and cleaner+scrubbing was not doing the job getting it off. So I sanded them (plain alloy rims) and they came out looking quite fantastic actually.

Speaking of which i saw a carbonfiber legacy hood that weighs more than the stock hood...
(stock is aluminum)

I still want some rpf1 wheels to drop my wheel/tire weight by about 7lbs per corner

I did a 3" single side exit on a 90 model I-6, utilizing the existing 3" tubing after the first catalytic converter and running through a glass pack, then run 90deg elbow under the framerail where it kicks up. Made a turn-down tip angled slightly rearward that is barely visible.

the sound is pretty subdued considering it's (1) converter and a glasspack, although the glasspack has a 2.5" core...so that might be the reason.

Plugged a tire on my Explorer today... but I mainly am posting bc I want to vent about the past month and a half of vehicle mishaps with my wife:

1) Totalled my previous Explorer (lady ran a light in front of her)
2) Blew out a tire on my parents minivan when she borrowed it (Tires were 7 years old)
3) Rear ended someone in her 09 Fusion (her fault)
4) Got a nail in the new tires (less than 100miles) on our replacement Explorer

+ ALL of them happened with our 2 month old in the back seat

Washed my cars. Did the front brakes on the Dakota but it apparently hasn't helped the brake problem. Still too much pedal travel for the stopping performance. MC has been replaced, brakes bled multiple times. Calipers seem to be acting properly and the rear brakes have been overhauled within the past year or so.

the issues with tires are just bad luck. Rear-ending someone, like you said, is her fault. The other broad running the red light...maybe your wife could have avoided that had she been paying closer attention or been a better driver, but most of the fault there doesn't lie with her.
_________

I installed & wired up some auxiliary flashing LED brake lights on the BMW bike. Happy with the install...nice clean look, and should make it really noticeable to people when I apply the brakes.
