Haven't done it yet, but I am probably going to install plenum spacers and possibly new air intakes when I get my 3rd quarter bonus in a couple of weeks.

Since the last ECORS race of the season is this weekend, i thought a week would be plenty of time to build a ride

Started saturday at the junkyard finding a front axle for it, took sunday off to go to panthers game, and have been working on it since.

started with this:

as of 5pmish tonight. cage 50% done, car runs and drives but needs the brakes bled:

ok i'm not trying to be a dick but.. i don't get the point of an RB20.
I mean an sr20 is way lighter way cheaper revs just as high is tank strong too and doesn't weigh nearly as much

I mean the only pro i can think of is i6 smooth and i6 sound but is it worth all that? Now a rb 25/26 i get cause 2.5 and 2.6 i4s (or flat 4s for that matter) have large bores and strokes and start to have limitations.

Rb20 because I didn't want to do the SR20. Also SR's are more expensive than the RB20, didn't you know they pull a premium before race wars? everyone has one.rb25/26 costs $texas and you need to buy a custom drive shaft, bang out the firewall so the starter can fit, etc etc. didn't want to deal with that stuff

I like straight 6's. I like the sound. I like revving to the moon with a turbo.

The weight difference for the sr and rb (placement in car) I hear is noticeable. But I am not a race car driver.

Did some brake work on the Integra the other day.

-new front calipers
-new pads front/rear
-lubricated and replaced some slides
-bled the brakes

I need new front rotors as well, but its not terribly urgent. Might wait till after the winter to deal with that. I also checked my mileage log book; I've only driven the car 1,000 miles since April

Water pump, thermostat, inlet and outlet hoses, and expansion tank on my E46. All of this made it 116k miles before complete failure.

Also replaced battery, removed smog pump (so much more power actually runs smooth now), started to replace alternator. Stripped out nut head. stopped work due to snow.

All new belts soon and probably an oil change on her soon too.

Man this truck gets pampered.

Flushed the brakes in the Lexus with some ATE Super Blue. Brakes feel great... Buuuuut, the front rotors are shot. I measured them at 23mm thick and the minimum disc thickness is 25.0 mm. FML

I do too and if we could get r33's for less than an arm and a leg, i'd own one... but i'll settle for my boxer 4 till we get a turbo inline awd.

S60ARRR fool!

Oh, and I've swapped shift cables, re-adjusted shifter, upgraded transaxle/motor mounts (to solid rubber GT3 stuff). Probably pulling the track seat out of it tomorrow if the bay's clear, cause I'm not going to TOUCH a car in this cold, jeez.

^^ no joke, it's been stupid cold the last few days. it needs to warm up so i can do control arms.

also, my car failed inspection today for a number of reasons.
1. ghetto ass window tint that's now gone
2. license plate lights were out (fixed)
3. a multitude of "not ready" codes when they did the bd2 scan or w/e. this was the result of reflashing my ecu back to the stock map. should be fixed in the next day or so.
4. small bulge in front right tire. not happy about having to buy a new set, but glad to get rid of the POS tires that are on there now.

S2000 inspected yesterday = (passed without a 2nd thought)

Integra wouldn't start this morning =

I think the starter is the culprit.

I was replacing the serpentine belt on my friends '01 jetta tdi because the 15 dollar belt that he bought instead of the 30 dollar belt ate itself. I was deep into replacing it on that crammed upbengine bay only to find put that the belt that died had melted itself all over one of the smaller pulleys. We were tired of the cold and rain and called it a night. The pulley with the melted rubber on it still spins freely so not quite sure why the shitty belt fucked itself over on that pulley other than it was just a shitty belt.

After this I opened my 84 f150 hood and tightened an alternator belt up.... Yes it took only5 minutes maybe. Minus the mpg I love the fuck out of that truck. They just don't make them like they used to

Finished swapping out the old brake lines with the new on the Mazda. Now just waiting for Quinn to drop by and help me bleed them. For being 36.5* outside, it sure was a pleasant day to work on a car. Didn't need gloves to keep my hands warm.

^^^I never tried on a flat surface. I guess I could give it a shot later for the hell of it. But answer me this: If I'm roll starting it on a flat surface that's covered in snow/slush how will my feet get traction? The car's light enough (2600lbs) but when the ground's got snow on it, could be a problem.

On a related note, is there an easy way to diagnose a bad starter?
