Moton can coach Xs and Os for sure. What he has done at Central is amazing. They were DII in 2009. The fact that he could take them and beat us pretty impressive.

They can break that news now, and no matter how much our admin rebukes it no on is going to believe them, so either way, no one can say they're making shit up because the burden of proof is on State and how do you prove that we didn't reach out to anyone? It creates clicks, it creates news where there wasn't news, and as a plus it makes our program look crappy. It's a huge win for the local media full of UNC homers.

I think the hope is that Keatts would have more talent to work with at NC State than he does at UNCW, so finding guys athletic/talented enough to run his D would be a little easier.

Yeah I'm not sure why people keep saying "B options"....who in the hell are our "A options"? We're not going out and getting some high profile coach. Are options are coach fading or fizzling out at a big program, assistant at a big program, or coach at a smaller school that shows a lot of promise.

I've seen Hoiberg thrown out there, but I still don't see that happening.

Keatts is a 2-time coach of the year in his conference, likely to make the tourney 2 out of his 3 years coaching at UNCW and he has experience coaching under Pitino. He's only 44, Gottfried is 53, so I think he has a chance to be a long-term solution if he comes in and hits the ground running. I mean we currently rank 217 in the country on adjusted defense per Pomeroy, and UNCW ranks 179. So it's at least a defensive improvement from what we have.
