i had a nice long laugh on this one, it NEVER gets old. this thread is all about how David Glenn is the most evil thing on legs since he is saying Butch MAY NOT be telling the truth to recruits. So here is a gem commentary

I know Baddour said something about how they've been 100% cooperative, but what makes UNC fans think that they are cooperating at an "unprecedented level"....or even cooperating any more than, say, South Carolina's football program?

^ this is one of those classic situations where someone over there is claiming the cooperation is unprecedented and its been repeated enough now everyone just believes it (because they want to).

I also liked "strong procedures in place" ... "well[-]conceived and enforced"... the whole problem with this is that what's come out is that:

THERE WERE NO PROCEDURES AT ALL!! which precludes them from being either strong, well-conceived and definitely not enforced.

It's funny how closely a lot of the stuff at UNC mirrors how the SMU scandal played out (at least from how it was portrayed in "Pony Excess" on 30 for 30...admittedly, the scandals are different at their cores).

I seem to remember multiple points in the documentary where SMU was outwardly declaring how compliant they were being with the NCAA, while conspiring to fight tooth and nail below the surface.

^About the SMU thing...I found this quote on Wikipedia interesting:

So, yeah, SMU cooperated pretty well...but it doesn't take away from the fact they were cheating like hell.

And, back to UNC, what does an "unprecedented level of cooperation" even entail? Did Dicky Baddour just hand over the keys to the athletic offices to the NCAA officials and say "here you guys go, we'll go ahead get out of hair for a few days...if you need any passwords to any accounts, just shoot me a text"

Has the NCAA honestly never seen this level of full cooperation before? Haha...that statement is just ridiculous.
