Female opinions needed:

I know there is a wedding thread, but this is more of an aesthetics thing.

So, our wedding will be October 7th, in Wrightsville Beac, NC. There is no real "theme" to our wedding.....and I don't intend to have one. However, I looooooove the idea of getting solid white parasols....maybe just for the bridesmaids and myself, maybe as party favors for everyone....haven't decided. But they are inherently an asian themed decor. So, would this look weird?

Parasols are not just for asian-themes or settings! I have seen them used in LOTS of ways- especially when I was constantly perusing blogs/sites/magazines before our wedding. And I think they would be exceptionally appropriate given that y'all are having the wedding at the beach.

I'm having my friend do parasols at the wedding in June.

I'm planning it for him and his fiance. Its just for the pics with the girls, but we are gonna bring some color in with the parasols and have fun around the park and downtown raleigh

I love the idea of parasols instead of bouquets! but I would worry of the beach being windy that day so make sure you get some really sturdy ones, and not cheap.

I have a whole collection of parasols (ones for possible rainy days, silk ones just for being pretty etc) and a good wooden frame and nice silk that won't be too affected by wind can be $$.

so, I have decided I want to put gray/silver in my hair. Weird but I want this color hair already. The few that I have in my hair make me happy so much that I want to put big patches in it. I am so grateful I can play with my hair again. I am just having a hard time finding silver/gray hair dye in stores. I guess I can settle for manic panic if I can find a good lightner.

it's about 2 inches wide and sorta sparse when my hair is up...

when my hair is down, it's about an inch wide and all gathers in one spot, since it follows the hairline, so it really sticks out

EXCITED ABOUT THE THINGS I ACCIDENTALLY PURCHASED TODAY:

...had to meet someone in durham for work...so obviously i told them to meet me at southpoint. then snuck into nordstrom and tried on some stuff. wasn't going to try these on but the sales girl was like, these dresses are way cute ON even though they look weird on the hanger. she was right! i got two...one basic black and one in a spearmint green color. i want the purple but...already spent too much on them (i mean they are $38...not that bad really considering target dresses now are like, $25).

THEN AFTER WORK i went to ornamentea to get some stuff to make earrings and i saw these beads and i was like OMG GIVE ME THOSE BEADS. so i'm going to make a bracelet. i was going to separate the bigger turquoise skulls with the small white ones. alternating. OR should i just make two bracelets one all turq and one all white? i think i like the alternating plan better since the turquoise ones are kinda intense.

i liked them because i feel like they are girly AND funky since they are turquoise-esque. i think (hope) the bracelet will look cute with a plain black dress and metallic sandals and earrings. which i was PLANNING on wearing tonight but i think its going to be too chilly. bummer. oh well i'm not really motivated to make a bracelet right now anyway haha
