Here, I think this is, what, the 5th or 6th long piece that has been posted against your view, still waiting on one that supports you. But sure, we're not providing anything.

What I was asking for are direct, measured responses to the points I've made in a manner that refutes them beyond dispute. Instead, my points are met with hyperbole and sarcasm. I'm asking for more of the former, less of the latter. I don't view posting editorials as the former because an editorial supporting a topic does not necessarily directly counter points made in a post.

But if that helps you

Mueller just now when asked what he wants Americans to get from his report: [...] it also is a signal, a flag to those of us who have some responsibility in this area to exercise those responsibilities swiftly, and don't let this problem continue to linger.

in other words, democrats get off your ass

That's an impossible standard.

And I didn't actually need to go google competing editorials, but you can't contend we aren't posting responses, we are you just have to read them go get there.

I can't speak for DTR, but I don't have the time, resources or knowledge to directly respond in long form, and it seems like a waste when smarter people have already written long, well thought out arguments.

Nadler reportedly pushed to launch impeachment proceedings in the closed-door meeting but was blocked by Pelosi. Nancy Pelosi is blocking the Chair of the Judiciary Committee from moving forward with impeachment in response to clear impeachable offenses that are clearly defined and on record

This is nonsense

They should have started impeachment hearings months ago. We should have been seeing reports now of trump fighting a subpoena.

Pelosi is acting like trump just is a normal politician doing normally bad stuff, which helps normalize trump.

June- Pelosi decided to pass the emergency border funding. Progressives had been calling for the money to come with requirements on care and how the funding was used, but Pelosi had a phone call with Mike Pence said they had an agreement and everything was okay and decided to pass the bill. Progressives were upset about this and spoke up, they were then attacked by Pelosi and other senior democrats for this "insubordination" (progressives even backed pelosi when blue dog dems tried to unseat her, but didn't buy them any respect apparently)

Today- Trump moves to end limits on detention of migrant children https://apnews.com/b66e925bdda14877ba8edfe0ec55a0cc

From the Pence thread Ireland article. Pelosi is once again quoted saying Trump violates the constitution. Of course the subtext is she has zero interest in holding him to account for that.

Not sure where to put this but Matt has a far better platform and chance to take on Mitch. Let’s see how a pragmatic, popular guy does versus a deeply unpopular but extremely well-funded incumbent.

Corey Lewandowski once again showing how fucking AWFUL Democrat’s are at oversight.

He’s there under subpoena and is basically pissing down Nadlers throat. What even authority does the WH have to put out order on what he can or cannot answer since he has NEVER been an advisor. But they’ll let him get away with it.

Oh, and that doesn’t excuse the blatantly corrupt and lawless behavior of the entirety of the GOP. Which makes the Democrats feckless ineptitude even worse.

Start real fucking impeachment hearings and make these clowns talk.

if they didn't have the votes for it

republicans added the bill to the calendar on tuesday and said they would be recording votes on wednesday, so democrats should have made sure to show up to prevent that but trusted an off the record comment from a single republican instead because they really suck at this

The Democrats don't know what to do, or say. They're still crying over the Clinton loss. Now they are trying anything and everything to get rid of Trump including impeachment and changing the electoral college rules in blue states. No one in either party is going to jail. Once the Democrats takeover the White House all will be well in Washington for them and it will be the Republicans turn to cry. The Democrats might win the election, if they would focus on policy instead of trying to get rid of Trump.

Trump's the one committing crimes. The Democrats can choose to look the other way, or they can choose the follow the Constitution and impeach. It's not difficult

^It's the truth. If we had a Democrat in the WH with this congress who did the same thing it would be a non-issue. Or if we had a Republican controlled congress right now it would be a non-issue too. My biggest fear is that the standards and rules of American politics are being set with this. Will the next Republican controlled congress retaliate when we have a Democrat in the WH by calling for impeachment?

^ That already happened officially in the 90’s and calls for Obama to be impeached happened non stop for 8 years. Your hypothetical has been reality for over two decades. What rock are you living under?

With that being said....Trump should be impeached.

^^
One of the biggest scandals under Obama was the IRS scrutinizing some groups with tea party at a slightly higher rate. GOP almost had a meltdown when Bill Clinton met with Loretta Lynch.

Trump has already gotten away with massive corruption in how he has interfered in supposedly independent functions of government. Asking a foreign country to chase a baseless conspiracy, telling them to work with your personal lawyer, recruiting the attorney general for a campaign initiative, and then using congressionally appropriated funds as personal leverage is ridiculously far outside the standards of behavior of how an American President is supposed to act.

I don’t think any democrat is worried about retaliation because it’s very abnormal for presidents to act as criminal and corrupt as trump.

She hasn't accomplished anything as speaker and has permanently destroyed the meaning of impeachment. Going forward, no president with the house will ever be impeached and every president without the house will be impeached.

Its always been difficult though. At least until this particular case. I wonder what is so different to democrats about this case than the dozen other .

Impeachable offenses and crimes by Trump and Bush.

No response to Katrina
Lying to start the Iraq war
Starting a war without declaration
Torturing prisoners of war
Spying on US citizens without warrants

Running concentration camps at the border
Denying refugees of their rights to claim asylum
Lying about climate change

Human rights and murders of thousands of Americans couldn't bring Pelosi to impeach a president. Nothing could. Until now. What a joke.

It has nothing to do with Trump, they're just class allies. Bush's policy did not affect Ellen, even DOMA, because rich gay people aren't discriminated against in the same way that poor gay people are.

10 years after Trump's presidency, if the fat fuck is still alive, Ellen will be doing the same rehabilitation routine with him.
