The CEO of Shadow Inc is a Pete supporter, her husband is a Pete advisor, and the campaign itself donated over $100k to the company.

And then this incredibly simple app failed to report all of the results, while Pete declared victory before any official results rolled in.

I'm not saying there's definitely foul play but it's pretty suspicious.

Regardless I agree with your assessment - whether or not Pete won (he didn't), he's non-viable. And he he's coming out of this looking like a giant rat.

Awarding a contract to a person well connected to the Dem party is gross and corrupt, but unfortunately business as usual. I also wouldn't be surprised if Pete (or anyone really) had a source to help get data earlier.

Neither of those things has any actual effect on the voting outcomes, and certainly not the massive delays if Pete is indeed the winner.

one of the lessons learned post-2016 in the unification the DNC had to go through was that they really hurt themselves giving large no-bid contracts to just a few politically connected consultants and companies

let's hope the states and campaigns writing the big checks to this new company had some kind of bid process


(i'm about as happy as can be from Iowa. It looks like Bernie is 1 or 2 and Biden did poorly, and things are so bad it might blow up the Iowa caucus and people can ignore it next year. sounds like a win-win-win to me).

I don't think it's possible to fake the results, given that precinct captains could easily dispute them. But a decisive victory reported on the night of the caucus would be a huge boost to the winner. Delaying the results and muddying the process dampens that effect.

Ok lets say it was incompetence across 3 organizations (IDP, Shadow, DMR) who all happened to make mistakes that led to the same exact result on two separate occasions and said result of incompetence JUST HAPPENS to match their mutual motive of diminishing positive sanders news. Regardless of the conspiracy/incompetence debate, the biggest night of the season was spoiled and the positive momentum for the night's winner and detrimental affect for the night's losers was destroyed. Thats something that can't ever be undone. The integrity of the entire primary has been irreparably damaged but not destroyed.
