dunno why they're even using those temporary lines still, it looks like they already repaved the street after redoing whatever work on the water mains, but i guess thats how they roll in Greensboro

They were on our street two years ago with those temp water main lines. I hated those things and they did a shit job of rebuilding the curb they had to knock out to the the hydrant.

They leave the lines up till they completely get done with an area.

There's a little cafe downtown that's good. I can't think of the name of it though. Or you could always zip over to Elon. There are several good places around the college.

I've never really explored the area. Most of the people I work with live out toward Wallburg (Forsyth County) and the wife's family lives out in Davie. This fall I should know if I will be staying in the Triad or moving somewhere else.

Wallburg area is very similar to Whitsett. I have friends down that way. But man, You can't beat having a bunch of land, no neighbors, and no city taxes.

Forsyth Co. has some nice rural areas as well. You already know Wallburg, so just look around that area.

We just bought a couch from Bassett. It'll be delivered to us in July when we move. They were a little higher then some of the other stores we went to, but the construction felt better. The frame was well made and the cushions didn't feel like they would lose their shape after a month. I'll see when we get it thought.

The service was great and they were patient with us. They also have a build your own couch/chair section. You can choose frames, cushion, fabric and whatever else you like. After we bought the couch they sent us a thank you card..lol When I get home in the morning I'll ask the wife what our person's name was and you can check them out if you want.


I know FLS has nice stuff, they have the main showroom and an "outlet" which is mostly just last years models that haven't sold. Instead of just one brand of furniture like Bassett, they have multiple brands you can check out.


Lazboy is having issues last I heard. Their quality isn't as good as it was 5-8 years ago. The samples in the showroom are nice, but what leaves their factory is pretty hit and miss.
