Sweet! No pun intended...alright, maybe a small one. I'll have to check it out sometime if they're open after 6 during the week. I thought I noticed an increase in people carrying baked goods around last night.

The horrible Super Mario Brothers movie is playing tonight at Carolina Theatre. There will also be movie props brought in, but I have no clue what types.

It's either the work on Wendover or I've been getting the thunderstorms on my way in.

Oh that's gotta suck to see that from your window. There's no way I could focus on anything while that was happening.

The work on Lee St is killing my ride into/home from the office. If it's not the lane closures, its the damn manhole covers that stick up like 6 inches from the pavement. It's like a damn obstacle course trying to get around them.

For tailors in Greensboro Ive used two and been happy with both.
For quick and easy tailoring like pant hemming I go to Alterations Express off of Battleground.
For nicer things like formal dresses I like Trans Alterations off High Point Rd.

Dry Cleaners, depends on what you need it for. Hard to clean stuff Sno-White cleaners off Walker/Elam is really good. They are pricey, but worth it when it's something that matters. I've tried a few other cleaners, 2.50 Cleaners off Battleground past Drawbridge was pretty good for the shirts I've given them.

I agree the Alterations place off Battleground is good for helms and other stuff.

I second this. Tran is the man, he does all of my alterations. Be careful though, he is gay as hell and will most likely hit on you.

I would try one of those NCAA apparel stores. I think there is one in 4 Seasons Mall, if not I know there is one in Holly Hill Mall in Burlington.

How soon do you need it? You would probably be better off just buying one online if there is no rush.

I know that I have bought more than 1 NCSU collar locally over the years, just not sure where I got them. To save some time you should just call them and ask, rather than driving all over town looking for it.

The Sports Fan Attic at Four Seasons used to have some NCSU leashes, not sure if they have collars. Might be worth giving them a call. 852-3211

My husband plays a team involved with the WS parks and rec but they sadly do not need any more players. I would either contact the parks and rec department head in charge of the adult leagues and he can give you some captions names that might need players. Or just head to the field on the first day of games and ask around if they need anybody. I have seen/heard guys get on teams both ways.

Glad you found one. I thought the ACC store closed closer to two years ago, but I could be wrong. The family that owned the ACC store was nice but I never figured out how they stayed in business so long.

It closed the spring of last year, June I think. The store was nice, but very expensive. Also the majority of the stuff in the store you could get other places around town for cheaper. Only reason i remember is because it's where I would get my dad Wake paraphernalia for his birthday..lol

On an unrelated note do you think TWC would get upset if I opened the cable box to our building and took off the filter?

Thanks to my rumbling stomach and the "Best Burger in Raleigh" thread, what's everyone's favorite burger place in Greensboro?

Mine's Emma Key's but I don't get over there as often as I should. The Porterhouse had a pretty good one but I was more impressed with the sweet potato fries with their dipping sauce and the spinach-artichoke dip appetizer.

I have done this at every apartment complex I have lived in. That is the beauty of living in an apartment complex...there is no way TWC could ever prove it was you that did it. Most of their installers are contractors now anyway, and they pretty much don't give a shit. Worst case scenario, they will notice it missing during another install and just put on another one.

^ is that the one next to the gas station across the street from Golden Touch? If so, I have always been sketched out to eat there. It has been like 10 different restaurants over the past 10 years. I used to live in Kensington Place Apartments, right up the road.

Back in the day it was a produce stand, and has just kind of evolved over the years. I remember it being a fried chicken joint, a pizza place, a taco place, and a hot dog place throughout the years.

Fun fact for you. The guy that owns that gas station/building, Lop Sang, also owns the Laser Carwash behind it. He has like 20 of them throughout the Triad, and has made a fortune on them.
